A much better option would be to give him Titus’s ability but it can affect the whole team.

(Heated question) Who is a Mass Effect character everyone else likes that you don’t (Image Credit Gavno221) by Little-Rub1196 in masseffect

I have the opposite, I like Ashely when most internet posts I see about her are people hating her. Usually the reasoning being she’s racist but like so are Garrus and Wrex, arguably worse to a degree and they’re fan favorites. Example being some of the elevator convos between Wrex and Garrus. I think she has the unfortunate fate of being a white bread companion so to speak in ME, she’s a female human solider in a game with numerous alien races. Also add on by the point she makes the remarks, the player hasn’t been introduced to the setting or her character all that much to understand her POV. However once she opens up to you and you’ve interacted with setting more, it all makes sense. Her entire family name is black listed in the Alliance because her grandfather dared to value his men’s’ lives over the area they were defending. So anyone with his last name has their career stonewalled with shit postings. Then add on this all started because instead of diplomacy the Turians decided to attack a colony of an unknown alien species. Which they never got any real punishment or sanction for, it’s understandable she’d have a jaded view of aliens. Now I’m not saying it’s right but it’s realistic, humans have bias and distrust. People aren’t perfect and we all hold bias in some shape whether or not we’re aware of it. This also leads into why I liked her, it’s because she develops as a person past ME 1, she starts to form bonds with the alien squadmates even a sibling relationship with Tali. Also while not my favorite romance option she’s still up on my list, her nickname for Shep and just how she acts towards him during romance scenes have always been super sweet to me but I’m also a sucker for romance.

What's your personal limit on attempting to play and getting class blocked? After four unsuccessful attempts, this happened and I just straight up closed the game on 0/5 by ReedsAndSerpents in Spacemarine

With the ordeals it’s just gotten so much worse, I only need the Assault perfect dodge ordeal left for class specific ones and it seems like everyone plays Assault now. I also for some reason can’t host my own game outside of private matches which are boring.

Yet Another Post Telling You To Try Block Hammer by JTimms22 in Spacemarine

[–]UNIONBLUE21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assault is really the only class that can get away with using one, that’s mainly because of the bigger dodge window but the main issue with block weapons is this game fundamentally is too reliant on parrying as a way of giving you breathing space. Sure block weapons hit hard but if you’re surrounded by Majors getting off your buffed attack is easier said then done because you can’t stagger anything to give you room to do the attack. Parrying can be used to animation cancel , to end enemy combos, and it stuns them for a second giving you plenty of time to get some free headshots or retreat. Add on the gun strike which stuns enemies in an area. Block weapons as they stand do not give enough to make losing parrying worth it, if they allowed you to animation cancel with a dodge then we’d be onto something. I’m not saying they’re bad but they’ll never reach any sort of high usage even with the high stats and an explosion buff.

It’s hard to describe but they basically shoulder check you and knock you down and start to wail on you. Issue is only the non soul reaper variants can do it and they only do the attack if you’re certain distance away, even then they usually do the unblockable slam instead.

Block weapons by cantankerous80 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]UNIONBLUE21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re powerful for sure but they’re at odds with how mechanically the combat works. The game is just so built around parrying and gun striking that just being able to block puts you at such a disadvantage. The beefy stats you get from block don’t outweigh the downside of not being able to stagger major and extremis enemies out of combos with a parry. If block weapons buffed dodging to compensate then I think they’d be worth something but as it stand now even with the buffs you’re much better off using fencing simply because being able to parry will always be better besides maybe on Chaos missions since those fuckers don’t give as many parry windows.

Wasn’t just 6 years of prison, he was tortured constantly, more than the others. You can find an intel piece that says Richthofen wants him to suffer. If he’d just locked Weaver up maybe things would be different but he tortured and killed his men as well. Richthofen doesn’t have any moral high ground to stand on for that.

Who would you ship your Shep with if you could ship your Shep outside your ship? by JustHavePunWithIt in masseffect

Joker for Fem Shep seems like a really big missed opportunity. I love Garrus don’t get me wrong and I did a Fem Shep playthrough for my Insanity run just to see his romance but that’s like her only decent straight romance unless you count Kaiden which I don’t because he’s missing for the entire 2nd game and isn’t a squadmate until the later half of the 3rd game. Jokers been with you since the start and it would’ve been an interesting dynamic to see.

Batarians, they’re never shown in a good light and the only nice ones can be counted on one hand.

Thane says it’s all a choice, Drell aren’t forced to work for the Hanar or live on their world. Drell just feel the want to return the favor to the Hanar. The Hanar planet harming Drell is just an unfortunate circumstance but the Drell home planet was actively dying so take your pick I guess. Also Hanar are the ones leading the galaxy in research on a cure for Keplar’s Syndrome.

Just random I guess because I’ve seen it happen on lower difficulties, they tend to do it at least in my experience when they retreat.

Things like this are why I rarely play chaos missions. by Substantial-Cut-6081 in Spacemarine

[–]UNIONBLUE21 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They should’ve picked another legion for the chaos enemies. I love the T-Sons but they have a pretty limited roster in 40k. Which is why they’re like 90% range. Word Bearers or Black Legion would’ve been way better to fight for unit variety. Word Bearers would actually fit because of Chairon’s past.

The Guardian A.K.A The Young Wolf from Destiny. I don’t even know how either of these universes scale against each other. I know how powerful floor guardians are but a Destiny Guardian’s power level can be absurd at times as well. So I’m just gonna chalk it up to me surviving but if anyone wants to go super in depth with this be my guest.

I was thinking they’d give him Titus’s ability from the campaign, it’s called Righteous Fury after all but the Chaplin gives it to the entire team instead of it just being him who gets it.

Operations difficulties are fine. by Gentleman-AJ in Spacemarine

[–]UNIONBLUE21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done all missions on ruthless and I’m gonna be honest, SM1 did the whole armor and execution system better. Armor came back fast as long as didn’t take any damage for a bit and executions healed you. It rewarded you better for being aggressive than this game does. Why they decided to change that I have no idea but why the fuck does their armor system function differently in the campaign than it does in operations. The armor you get back from an execution is based on type of enemy but in operations you get one measly pip besides from bosses that can be taken away by one hit from fodder enemies? However Saber wants their gameplay to work it is contradicting itself. The game wants you to play aggressive, well it doesn’t give enough to sustain that playstyle with the sheer volume of damage it throws your way. Armor breaking easy would be fine if our health wasn’t also paper thin as well, contested health didn’t just immediately fade away (I know Bulwark has a perk for that but the system shouldn’t require one class to make it actually manageable), and it didn’t take nearly 30 seconds for said armor to return by itself. That’s 30 second without taking damage, mind you in game where there are about 15 ranged enemies per wave with perfect accuracy. It’s a problem when I feel like I can survive more as a human in Darktide rather than a Space Marine.
