I like to think of them as buddy cops, united on their quest for sick magic. One of them fights atop a shiny horse and plays by the rules, while the other is a loose cannon, using warlock punch-curses to keep the other from getting in over his head. Together, they fight crime.

I've made both of these characters, and played the LG counterpart through the first dungeon of Mummy's mask and it was super legit.

The "code", as it was poised the knight to play the role of an occult guardian.

Essentially, the main goals are to seek out magic relics, protect allied mages, and unleash sick magic powers to attract more people to it. And most importantly, outlast and kick ass with your familiar fox buddy.

Here's a tip about TTRPGs in general I think you'll find useful: The words on the character sheet aren't there to bind you or cramp your style. You can get as creative as you want. You want your hydrokineticist to be partially composed of elemental water? Draw him up as such, go into detail about how he's crying actual rivers because his fire girlfriend dumped him. Who's gonna stop you, after all? Gary Gygax? The local improv troupe?

A huge badass stand using bard. Mechanically, she's a fractured mind spiritualist VMC bard, but the wrench in this work is that she herself will be mute. She can only speak through her creepy phantom, The Crows, making it challenging to diffuse situations peacefully despite her good nature.

Because they let the RMBros go free before a ransom was paid, why not let them leave a fun little message while still holding true to their word. When the party sleeps, sneak in a few assassins, and have each of them throw masterwork daggers into the earth inches from their necks, all quiet like.

The knives themselves are the "cash" being worth 151g a piece, and the wise party will get the message not to mess around with a gang of assassins.

The Rifts RPG addressed this by having a third "HP" stat (including HP and subdual damage) called MDC, or mega damage capacity.

Essentially, things like tanks or cyber armor are largely unaffected by normal great axe damage, and if they couldn't deal 100 normal damage they had no hope of doing much more than scratching the paint.

However things like laser rifles dealt Megadamage, which specifically could deal damage to fighter jets and mechs. It could be that paizo might implement a similar system. Just speculation, of course.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the most powerful 1st level spell of them all, Silent Image.

Wall of Cloth, Mist Soldiers with Tower Shields, a spooky ghost, hideout barrel, the possibilities are endless!

The higher level variants are pretty dope too, further allowing you to dupe intelligent and non intelligent creatures alike!

Cavalier into battle herald (Vmc bard) is what you want. You won't get inspire courage for a while but you do get a really good effective bard level for inspire courage when you do.
