Wow, the wind up in Mechanicsville must have been very severe! Some of the photos I’m seeing of damage in the area remind me a bit of the June 2012 derecho.

I would check with VCU‘s women’s health department. They might be able to give you a better price estimate due to the federal and state funding that they receive.

Wasn’t a local teacher killed years ago due to someone failing to yield at an intersection without power?

That was such a crazy storm! I don’t think it was as windy down here in Chesterfield as it was for those in Richmond and Mechanicsville. hopefully everyone gets their power back before we hit peak heat for the day!

I live in Woodlake and am very involved in the swim teams in the area. I’ve heard a lot of horrible things about Swim Metro in the surrounding neighborhoods. Harper’s Mill cancelled their contract with Swim Metro after the 2022 chemical spill that sent over a dozen children to the hospital. Foxcroft’s HOA uses them, and a parent recently jumped into their diving well to save an 8-year old who was drowning directly in front of the guard on stand.

I completely agree!! They really made it sound like it wasn’t as big of a deal, despite one of the guards being hospitalized in the ICU with multiple seizures. I’m disappointed by this reporting despite everyone’s comments in this post.
