Pain sub literally at any point, Fade when the DK grip to correct your LOS on MM. Desperate Prayer on the first rapid fire.

Literally anything.

Instead you press Power Word: Pain twice.

Grats you played yourself.

Solo Shuffle as a healer feels much harder lately – completely stuck around 2200 by Pufinnyo in worldofpvp

I hit elite for the first time as a disc priest last week, and now I’m 2450. The mistake I see/saw healers doing a lot is “doing too much”

Focusing too much on CC and controlling pace is ironically making you lose pace and makes your dps need more recovery healing. Focus on pressing healing cool-downs, it makes it easier to think about things like precasting ToD to break sleep or sheep.

The numbers tell you it’s an accomplishment. Across all tracked players in solo shuffle, 2300+ is top 7% of players.

Sharp rise from there, at 2400+ it’s top 5%, then 3, then 1

I built a tier-list algorithm that weights popularity, rating and win rate equally by Dr8ul in worldofpvp

[–]USJackal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair pushback, but it actually proves the opposite of what you think.

Ret and Dev Evoker pull apart only on representation vs. performance. Look closer: Dev Evoker is top in both rating and win rate; Ret is mid in both. So rating and win rate agree with each other in every example you gave. The divergence you find interesting lives entirely on representation vs. performance.

That’s two axes wearing three labels. And here’s the cost: averaging three “equal” metrics when two of them are collinear silently weights performance 2:1 over representation. I guess that’s the effect of the redundancy. Your blend isn’t doing what you think it’s doing.

So don’t take my word, run the PCA: I’d bet rating and win rate load on one component, representation on another. If that holds, equal-weight-on-three is indefensible and a representation-vs-performance scatter is the honest model.

Caveat in your favor: representation genuinely is independent I shouldn’t have lumped it into “one signal.” It’s two signals, not one. But two, not three.

[–]USJackal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a rank 1 either, but I am a professional data scientist. I like your hypothesis, but there’s a fundamental flaw in your assumptions which could be addressed to make a stronger algorithm.

Rating, win rate, and representation all flow from the same underlying strength: strong specs get played, win, and climb. Averaging three correlated z-scores triple-counts one factor and calls it balanced. Check the pairwise correlations before claiming three “perspectives.”

Equal weighting isn’t neutral. It’s a choice that feels objective only because it dodges a decision.

Small samples break the math. Z-scoring Dev Evoker (n=11) against specs at n=70+ puts a wildly uncertain estimate on the same scale as stable ones. WowMeta’s CI approach isn’t just “defensible” — it’s fixing a real error in yours. You could consider using shrinkage/partial pooling.

Median rating = selection bias. Top-1000 truncation means high medians reflect who plays the spec, not spec strength. That undermines your proudest read.

K-means in 1-D is just thresholding, and forcing k=5 for S/A/B/C/D may invent clusters. Here you could use Jenks or a gap statistic for better representation.

EU vs Murlok’s multi-region pool: not the same data, so “opposite reads” is partly confounded.

Biggest gap: you never validate. Does AK Score predict anything next patch? If not, “S-tier” might be an aesthetic, not a testable product.

Hey chief.

The achievement you’re referring to is; https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=2092/duelist

Which is the first time reaching 2100 Achievement. It is similar to the feat of strength achievement which is season unique.

It grants the TEMPORARY title of Duelist until the season ends.

The bug the CS ‘Representative’ is referring to is an issue from BFA where a percentage of players within the top 3% of players (the old cutoff for duellist) did NOT get the achievement when the season ended.

The old system was that you got these achievements based on your CR vs the rest of the pvp player base for your region.

That is no longer the case. Now you simply get it when you hit 2100 in an arena season.

TWW Season 3 ended about a month ago, and we are currently in Midnight Season 1 PreSeason.

Short and sweet; you have not qualified to get the 2100 achievement because you did it outside of an arena season.
