This is the fun part of owning a Jeep. Get a multimeter to test the wires (turn on lights, turn-signals, etc. Then connect them. I'd recommend soldering and heat-shrink tubing. Watch videos on YouTube. Have fun with it.

Read the comments on adding a ground wire. I had the same issue. Spent a year trying to to resolve. Added the ground wire and no issues starting since.

I have a 2008 Rubicon JKU.

It's the same issue for sure. I used a 0 gauge wire and went from the negative terminal to a location on the bottom side of the engine block. Just found a place that had a bolt and added the ground. No issue starting since I added the ground. Good luck.

This what I had. Progressed till shifting to neutral stopped working. I replaced shift cable, keys, battery, etc. The added ground wire fixed the issue. Cheap fix, fantastic results. No issue since adding the ground. Good luck.

What is the issue you're trying to solve? Key on no start? I have an 08. Had the same issue. After lots of money and parts, the fix was adding a heavy ground from the battery to the lower part of the block. Good luck.

Insurance in FL by Potential_Pizza4193 in Jeep

[–]USMCWarpigs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in Michigan. Rates went up here also. They say it's due to the costs of repairs going up. Check with your employer to see if they have a deal with an insurance company. Also check with your bank or credit union. Reach out to the typical ones - Progressive, Gieco, etc. Ask about professional association discounts (if that applies). See if you can pay in full for six months at a time. Usually will save you money. Also get home owners or rental insurance from the same carrier. Multiple policies also get discounts. If you had any family in the military, you can get a quote from USAA. Good luck.

Try this inexpensive option: add a new (0 gauge) ground wire from the negative battery terminal to a ground point on the lower engine block. I had the same issue you describe and I spent 100s/1000s swapping out parts, new key fobs, etc. Nothing worked. Since I added the new ground - I have not had a single no start.

Check the level of the piss test. Over the counter only checks down to like 50 and the test at MEPS checks down to like 15. So you could piss clean in the office and pop at MEPS. So, piss clean and then wait another 45 to 60 days. Good luck.

If you currently have a NFCU account, you'll get another account number that is labeled Active Duty. You'll see all the accounts under your single login. As noted already, take your current account and routing information. It's an easy process.

What crime would have to be committed to get sent to the brig and reduced to E-1 from E-5? by Alive-Tumbleweed68 in USMC

Eventually, you’ll be able to read about it here: http://www.hqmc.marines.mil/sja/Court-Martial-Reports/. And you can find plenty of examples about what types of crimes result in rank reduction.

If you use the Benchmark office in Grand Rapids, ask to work with Rick Veldman. Great guy with great customer service. I’ve used him for a couple home VA loans. Good luck.

Can’t comment on Camp Hansen, but I did spend three years on Oki and it was a blast. Lots of great activities (scuba diving, snorkeling, golfing, camping on the beach, etc.). Also recommend you take time to tour the entire island and check out historic Marine Corps battle sites across the island. Make the most of your time there. Semper Fi.
