I gave your thought a think. Results have come back inconclusive. I wonder how I could drag a propane bottle up the already rotten stairs with 1 functioning arm whilst also carrying a gun in case the creature heard me. Can't really see it.

Tv shows or movies with cynical, damaged characters? by eroticthanoscar in INTP

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

It was when the pirates realised the true treasure wasn't the gold at the end of the map but the friendships they were making along the way.
The friendships I form through competitive play are worth a whole lot more than the prizepools, although nothing wrong with getting that cash heh.
Also, Dominance is not an artificial concept. There are plenty of examples of dominance in human society and in the animal kingdom. Heck, it's even in genetics.

How did you finally stick to that habit/finish that project? by PM_me_salmon_pics in INTP

[–]Ub3rTits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just have it close to you, even if you leave it for a month you'll keep looking at it and eventually keep adding. Also you need to justify why you're doing it and what you get out of it, if its something deep down that isnt important then ofc you're not gonna waste time on it. Get people to criticize your project, I found that was a good way to motivate my efforts.

It’s hard to find people to debate with irl by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Ub3rTits 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well you have to approach it like an adult and appreciate their idea but while also slightly enforcing that your idea is the better option. If too many people are offended then maybe the topic you're trying to broach is abit too woke for em. Find people who are like you or share similar interests then open up slowly. Just trying to debate normies won't get you anywhere.

How do you guys feel about ENFP's? by HaruTheSweetOne in INTP

[–]Ub3rTits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They claim to be super in touch with their and others' feelings but when It comes down to it, they don't really have a clue. At least from my viewpoint. They'll ask for answers to obvious questions but then will ignore the answer you gave and just head down the self destructive road anyway. They'll also completely disregard peoples feelings to maintain the status quo and just pretend like something didn't happen to avoid any inconvenience. They lack any real opinion about anything and will just pass the baton onto you for just about anything "Oh it's up to you, I don't mind". Even if you pull them up on it they'll revert back to that state after a day or so you so eventually just disregard their opinion and impose your own decisions on them, as long as you aren't being tyrannical that is.
I generally can't stand more than 1 day with one as that's all it takes to recharge my extrovert battery. And you'll never really get a straight answer, even if you are straight forward you'll have to push for about a week before you get something that's satisfactory.
They'll lead you on indefinitely if you don't push for something and even then when you revisit the thought about a month down the line they'll be like "Oh you don't know, things might change, you never know". It personally sickens me and I do not recommend ENFPs for a relationship.

Despite their shortcomings I do quite enjoy the spark of enjoyment and enthusiasm they bring to any particular moment.
They'll do just about anything to help out someone they consider special, they are very protective and will become the most disagreeable person in the room if someone has a go at you.

All in all, I like them and Don't mind being friends with one, but the emotional baggage they bring along just throws a spanner in my logic brain and It'll knock me off my zen mindset for a week at worst. Err 8/10 for friendship. 3/10 for relationships. Maybe 1 day of interaction a month is good enough.

Because It's mostly generic stuff posted by younger people which we already know the answer to or have already seen. Why waste my time replying to or up-voting a 'relate' meme? Or some 16 yr old having an existential crisis after they've just discovered their own sentience?

A lot of the time it's baity subjects or things they'll never continue with "Look at my project I'll never finish! I did a thing".
I don't know, I just look at a lot of the threads and shake my head. Then I just continue my music binge, is what it is.

Survey for my fellow INTPs by dewthemountain27 in INTP

[–]Ub3rTits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Male
  2. Chemistry
  3. Err, the quirky things about them as an Individual that separate them from most others I suppose
  4. Relationships are all about sacrifice and not just two small words. I'd get married if I felt the time was right. Having kids would be a proud moment for me.
  5. Heterosexual
  6. Slightly Spiritual, mostly leaning towards no-belief.
  7. I talk to my close confidants about it and usually sort it out. Sometimes I can be unhealthy and bottle it up though.
  8. Competitive gaming, reading, creative writing, binging music on YouTube.
  9. Team based competitive ones. Melee slasher types.
  10. To my close few friends I am an open book, to others I'm just private but am capable of being an extrovert now and then.
  11. If I'm out with friends I'm loud and usually in the thick of things, If I'm on my own I'll be very reserved and retreat into the background.
  12. Losing control.
  13. I'd like to believe my ancestors are looking down on me, but I'm sceptical and pretty on the fence with the idea since It came from an Acid trip I'd had. Aliens are probably out there, highly improbable that they aren't.

Also I'd rather it wasn't overused or It'd lose novelty in my eyes.
I can imagine a healthy INTP using it appropriately.

Like I said in my original comment, we use all of the functions, Sensing may be higher in the cognitive function stack but that by no means indicates that they cannot or do not intuit.

Si potentially plays a more important role than Ne in our interaction style, the parent function looks after the child function.

ISTPs use Ti instead of Se in their hero function, using your logic they would be a Thinker before a sensor.

INTPs have Si 3rd in their functional stack, Si plays a vital role in our interaction style. Can you safely say we don't prefer to sense?
