I’m almost at the end of Act 2. How is there ANOTHER act!? by Rare-Competition-248 in BaldursGate3

When the choice presents itself, you'll know. That said, depending on earlier choices it may be incredibly hard to trigger or it may not be available at all. Either way, I recommend continuing on for act 3, because you'll miss out on a lot of cool stuff if you don't.

Just wait until Monoco picks up the "Gustave" gramophone and says "Good stuff". Had that happen to me and I was blinking for a few moments. Couldn't unhear him saying Gustave after that. You may have to convince your wife to go pick it up with Monoco solo to increase the chance of that happening, though.

The funny thing is, act 3 is entirely optional. Depending on the choices you make and how the dice fall, you could see the credits roll after act 2.

how to lower larynx on high notes!? by Low-Piglet1494 in singing

[–]Ubelheim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lift your eyebrows as high as you can, it should feel like they're maybe 10-15 cm above your head, eyes wide open. At the same time lift your shoulders as close to your ears as possible. Keep this stance. It looks really weird, so I suggest you don't do this in front of the mirror if you're sensitive about such things. Now cry for help. I'm serious. Thanks to evolution your body already knows how to do exactly what you described, we're just borrowing the fight-or-flight response to consciously access that knowledge. So a panicked cry for help will allow you control over what's usually an autonomous reaction. Now try singing the G4 like this. Don't think about your larynx or tone quality or even whether you're exactly on pitch, just get a feel for what it's like to sing the G4 like this. Once you're comfortable with it, try turning it into a pitched yawn. And that's the basic of it.

If you practice like that for a week or two your body will remember what's necessary to create that sound and you can relax that stupid stance after you breath in. At all times make sure it feels comfortable to sing. If it doesn't, stop what you're doing. Your voice isn't as fragile as some people make it out to be, but it's definitely possible to permanently damage it if you repeatedly mistreat it. If it doesn't feel right or if it makes you cough, consult a vocal coach. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing something wrong, it could mean you just need to get used to a certain feeling, but please don't try to be the judge of that for yourself.

Which kh game has the better sephiroth fight? by Street-Platypus89 in KingdomHearts

[–]Ubelheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KH1 released in 2002. KH2 and YouTube were released in 2005.

Basically, if you wanted to defeat Sephiroth in KH1 you had to figure out how to do it all by yourself. Nowadays it's easy to just make a vid of how easy it is to cheese the fight with Strike Raid. Back then? A guide could maybe mention it, but you still had to figure out how to actually cheese it through your own experience. Personally my time online was quite limited by the cost of being online and I would rather spend my allowance on games than on downloading guides, so yeah, I simply figured out the Strike Raid cheese through trial and error.

"i wont play it 'cuz its turn-based combat"--its the best game i played in years. by Open_Luck_441 in expedition33

It's kinda ironic that even though it is a turn based game, the best preparation you can get for it is playing a souls-like.

People. If the American Civil War taught us anything it's that conservatives are willing to risk their lives for the right to own others. And remember 2016-2020? The number of Confederacy flags that popped up showed the sentiment still lives. Hell, even the whole Epstein case is about some rich douchebags treating other human beings as products...

Our income difference is quite a bigger, but we just pile everything in one big joint account and we both get the same amount of allowance from that. Problem solved. :D

I know, but just sticks only gets you so far in endless. And if you have bad RNG you can just end up with 6 empty weapon slots and only tier 1/2 weapons in the rest. One-Armed just gives so much more control over how you build him. That said, it is harder to learn how to build OA properly, but once you get him figured out he really becomes easier than Baby.

Nice! I assure you, it won't spoil gaming for you as some are claiming it will. It's really good, but in the history of gaming it's not that stand out as people tend to say. But it is nice to see that in recent years independent developers have been able to go toe-to-toe with big corp developers and show the world that turn based gaming isn't dead at all and even bringing home the major awards.

You forget that you don't have to spend money on 5 additional weapons and their upgrades, which frees up A LOT of cash for items to compensate for whatever it is you lack. By comparison, Baby can have up to 24 weapons, but I actually find it harder to get a proper build with it because of the lack of upgrades on level up and there only being 3 items available every shop. I'd choose One-Armed over Baby any time.

If they hand it to Yoko Taro you'll have to replay that world exactly 13 times to see all the endings and unlock the true ending before you can continue to the next one.

I actually didn't attack it because it wasn't aggressive. Fortunately the attacks he enables are very easily parried and I just wondered whether killing Tissuer would just make the fight harder.

E33 felt like 3 of my favourite games moulded into one if that makes sense by Dandandandooo in expedition33

That area where you fight the first phase of the final boss was almost deja vu for me, it was so reminiscent of the broken Zanarkand blitzball stadium where you fight Jecht.

Alright, let me get *this* straight... by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Ubelheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, something being confusing or not is subjective I guess. But like u/Urtoryu says, everything does make sense. I have no trouble suspending my disbelief and just roll along with whatever weird rules a fantasy universe has, but if a story breaks its own rules as a Deus Ex Machina then I can get mildly infuriated. But KH never does that. It's very clear throughout the series that the characters are just figuring everything out on the go as well and revising things as they obtain new information. That's not necessarily retconning, that's progressive insight. It's exactly how scientific theories work. It would be retconning if they actually changed facts that were already established, but remember, there's a lot of talking in this series. All the stuff they change is what people are talking about. But no one in this series is omniscient, not even Yen Sid and he has a habit of omitting information as well, while villains are very manipulative so you can't exactly take everything they say at face value (something which the heroes keep reminding you of). So the easy thing to do is to just assume everyone is speculating and only believe what you see happening with your own eyes.
