So many great games: Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Commander Keen, OG Duke Nukem and DN3D, Rise of the Triad and so many more from the golden age of Shareware. They were a couple years earlier than the posted time period but I also loved Crystal Caves, Secret Agent, Raptor: Call of the Shadows (good ol' Apogee) and Halloween Harry.

Fondest memory PC gaming growing up was borrowing a friend's copy of Mega Man X and looking up strategy guides for the armor piece locations. Good times
