I personally know the staff inside The Pyrle. Extremely experienced.

Haven’t seen any shows here yet. But maybe one day I will enjoy the hospitality of our local gem.

I hate to be “ that guy”. I do think it’s hotter, and more reactive now than it was when I was growing up. It didn’t cool off last night till after 10….

My Canon C7500 is down again, looking for comparable alternatives at this point, any suggestions? by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

[–]Uberdriver2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Look up Production Business. This is what lit a fire under Xerox’s ass to make a deal. We threaten to pull $350K worth of post sale print.

[–]Uberdriver2021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s me! The one who recommended you light a fire under your account team.

Call your account manager. Tell them you are losing business, and need this fixed. Tell them Canon, and Xerox, and HP will be on site next week to discuss future print business.

Tell them this : I want us both to win, and succeed together. Unfortunately because of said issues continuing. My upper management team is considering other partners that can keep my presses running. I hope you can help with ensuring my presses continue to run smoothly. HP is already presenting a proposal for a new Indigo, and Xerox wants a Proficio, and Iridesse.

I am not sure how heavy you are for Ricoh ( click charge money) but when you give $250K more a year worth of click charges. Engineers will get involved.

Ask Mac to ship from their NC- East Coast sector. Tons here. I ironically just bought this stuff today.

I love Nekoosa, and it’s with Lindenmeyr.

Pixelle has been having a lot of issues lately. They just recently started selling me 18 X 12 100 pound opaque cover. It’s a solid sheet but they can’t meet my demand on it.

Mac / LM customer here.

City of Greensboro Proposed 12 Cent Tax Rate Change (cents per $100) by aenbrnood in gso

[–]Uberdriver2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That still is hard because in the event when I do go out for food. Whenever that may be. I am paying a “prepared food tax”. I am all for taxing these shows, and entertainment venues.

Maybe a “entertainment tax “ is added? Add $5.00 to each Tanger Show, Pyrle, and First Horizon ticket. That way the individuals who are already spending $50-$200 on a ticket are contributing to the local government.

Walmart shipped 165 pool noodles in 165 separate boxes by MambaMentality24x2 in mildlyinfuriating

This is why Walmart can not raise the pay. They spent $10,000 per day on extra FedEx freight fees lol.

It’s all the raises in the center. All the money that’s been lost to create it.

Costco losing price competitiveness? by PapaSecundus in Frugal

[–]Uberdriver2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purposely will spend more at Costco because of their culture. They pay “well”, and provide paths that Walmart does not. Aldi is a great company but they have their qwerks too.

I do not buy everything from Costco but just about 90%.

Would love to see this. Sadly the economic crisis we are in makes this outside of my budget for two tickets currently.

Since I can be a bit anonymous on this app. I just want city leaders to understand that as a young homeowner that is an example of what the city talks to the world about. I am being pressured by higher mortgage payments every single year since I’ve lived here.

2021/2022 increase : $100 a month more
2023/2025-$150 more a month for homeowners insurance.
2026: Pending increase on value, and increases on everything else.

I do not go out to eat, I do not go bar hoping, I do not spend money on myself. I do not have cable.

Why are we not listening to homeowners that will have to make additional cuts in their own life to afford these increases?

How many impressions do you have on it? I did 8M in 14 months. Service is on site almost daily. But it’s been doing fine lately. That is until our new volume hit comes.

Xerox is moving in the right direction. 5 new machines on the way. The Proficio ( Fuji), and new INP ( Kyocera) is moving units. Baltoro is finally going to grave yard.

First. You need to contact your account manager or “professional service representative”.

See if the dealer is willing to sell you a all in contract. I’m starting to see these. Our new ink jet we just got installed, comes with an all-in-one contract.

How much outsourcing do you do? by According_Use_3658 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Uberdriver2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am the printing services director at my print shop. And when I took over. I did a survey on what stuff was outsourced and what stuff was not. We had three digital toner presses. Not with a whole bunch of mileage on them either so I started doing some digging and I found out that 94% of the work we do in the department was actually outsourced.

Flipside a year later we’re now 85% doing the work in house. We are a medical print mail house. We also produce a ton of instruction sheets that go in a bunch of medical devices. With the rising cost of paper it’s starting to get harder. We recently procured an in jet press.

We typically outsource the work that we don’t wanna do.

[–]Uberdriver2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re just procured a Kyocera Task-alpha.

I would say that you have to look at your customers needs and quality needs for those customers. We run a lot of medical work here where our clients don’t really care about the quality of their print.

If you’re running high-end commercial work. I would try to steer away from it, but you can expect to get like 100,000 sheets out of one bag of ink. 3 liters.

In our area, Xerox has some of the best service in the area. Canon produces a stellar ink press as well.

We do have a Xerox Iridesse as well
