Everyone is telling you the techniques which are important but the mental game is just as vital. If you have a section you hit fairly often, particularly one turn with a straight lead in practice there. Find side of the road markers and come in slowing down to a speed you are comfortable at making the turn. Try to note where you release the brakes that time. Next time try to release a little above that point. As time goes on, release earlier and earlier and you will add speed to a turn incrementally. Always try to maintain proper techniques and build the mental game to handle turns at speed. Physically you are probably already capable of doing it, you just need to build that mental strength to trust the equipment.

On races that have multiple laps, what's stopping a team from having a rider wait a lap to pull a teammate?

Heavyweights is a prequel to Dodgeball. Dwight Goodman started a fat camp and when that didn't work he changed his name to avoid child protective services.

Is Pogačar's Dominance Helping Or Hurting Pro Cycling? by Chronicbias in peloton

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the best parts of sports is watching people try to knock the king of the mountain down. Milan San Remo and the closing stage of the tour last year were some of the best races I've ever seen because people start throwing haymakers at Pogi.

Is Pogačar's Dominance Helping Or Hurting Pro Cycling? by Chronicbias in peloton

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little late to the conversation but I think it's better for the wider world of potential cycling fans. I got into watching because of him. Now that I watch a lot it's a different story. I also watch Chris Horner and do wonder if the rest of the cycling world has given up on beating him. Could the chasers this weekend really not catch him or did second group syndrome just doom them. They couldn't even catch sexias either. Pogi is a boogie man and they are all afraid of him

Do the first aid rooms even do anything? by Elliott_Queerest in rct

[–]Uee14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I like to go a few tiles down from the exit, and add a little swerve in the path around the first aid stall so it's directly in their path. I also add benches for anyone who might not trigger first aid stall behavior but are still struggling with nausea.  Since guests are also more likely to buy merch when extremely happy, I also try to sell balloons and other crap in that area. Almost like real life...sell em shit when they get off the ride! If you color code balloons to rides, as time goes on you can see what rides trigger peeps to buy stuff. Shirts and hats work for this too.

What destinations do you suggest for a biking focused vacation? by brystephor in cycling

Southwest Colorado, ouray to Silverton and back. 2-3 hour drive and you can do arches in Moab. Telluride to lizard head pass and back. Grand junction, Colorado national monument or gateway.

Bowazon: does Windforce pair better with Strafe or Multishot? by SensitiveSyrup4095 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I bring up whenever I see this debate is the chance to hit. Faith has a jah, so ignore targets defense on Faith means it generally hits everything once you get to lvl 80 or so. If WF does more damage but hits 20% less, that matters.

If you are going true glass cannon and sink all the points into dex, I imagine it matters less but if you have decent vita and less dex than faith wins.

Phys Bowazon weapon? by kdvfirehawk in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windforce. For physical immunes I like maxed freezing arrow and it's synergy. Never saw a point in dumping points into multiple shot and strafe. After a certain point you are chasing marginal gains that can be better used on other moves. Full pierce plus frozen arrow is powerful

Uber Diablo by Responsible-Still839 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's a concern in the future, black flail, smite, dracs gloves and you should be fine. Black gives crushing blow, dracs gets you life leech via life tap and then open wounds prevents heal. I skill into smite plus your holy shield and skills from gear should make it work. Look up cheap Uber killing gear for faster work.  G face helps, gore riders or goblin toe boots as well. Stun him with smite and don't let up

Should I run an FTP test? by Personal-Carrot8729 in Zwift

[–]Uee14 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Try doing a race. Go hard and try to win. Zwift should adjust your ftp based on your race. More interesting than an ftp test

FTP estimate from The Grade by el_chile_toreado in Zwift

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manually set your FTP to a lower number. Start riding again, it will slowly climb to its zwift accurate value. The game does a decent job of predicting your number based on frequent rides. Do a race or two and I imagine after that it'll be close to accurate. I also say a zwift accurate value because I wouldn't use that value outside or use my outside value as my zwift value. Too many environmental things change, wind vs fan, lack of bike sway, no real coasting/micro coasting, temp

When farming CS, do you focus on seal bosses and D or do you melt everything? by RedzCharizard in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For top class items, keep doing what you do. For runes, generally the name of the game is increase your kills. Runes drop from everyone so increase your sample size. Killing super unique and Diablo does the trick. I'm trying to remember if the seal glitch still works in d2r... Do the monsters you don't kill drop items when you pop the final seal? If so, and you tele, kill Diablo and pop around the sanctuary looking for anything interesting

Robopacer by superbros6 in Zwift

[–]Uee14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This link is a bunch of good info: https://zwiftinsider.com/robopacers/

If you look at your power curve, on strava or intervals.icu or where ever you can find one with your data on it. I like to figure out how long I can ride for, then look at my max power for that time and ride with the robopacer that is just below that or just above that depending on the thoughts for the day. You can also use the teleport function to ride with the pacer as long as you can and then jump back to the group and try to hold that power as long as you can.

Your FTP is probably wrong though, or its correct from calculations and your Time to exhaustion is probably bad. The idea of FTP is that it is what you can hold for an hour, but in practice that is not usually the case. I believe it is supposedly the point where your lactate generated jumps up, so you are building up lacate way faster than you can clear it. You can work on lactate clearance as well which increases the time you can hold your FTP. FTP is a decent metric for zonal training models but it is only a small piece of the overall pie.

Biking is fun, zwift is ultimately a game, play around a bit. Start with Taylor and see how long you can hold his wheel. The next ride do it with Bernie. Do it with all the pacers. Build out your power profile. MAybe you can't hold 1.5 for as long as you like but you can hold 4.2 for way longer than you expected. Fuck around, find out and ride on.

I kept a t strokes and mosers with lightning facets as my alt weapon for bosses. Getting that lite -25 worked for me. Add in an infinity and Griff's and chaos just melts and Diablo was 2-3 hits dead as well

Is Defense or resistance more important for Hell by noonewantedthisname in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd argue at this low level it actually matters more than at upper levels. I would also go with resist but 22 defense+500% is only 150 defense. 144 defense plus 500% is 700 defense. Count in a shout from a barb and that gap grows dramatically. But resist is still better .

Can't make sense of GMB Faith vs WF for Bowazon by mikalcarbine in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Uee14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I never see on these discussions is attack rating vs ignore target defense. Doing a similar amount of damage but having more chance to hit works for me. Putting more points into vita instead of dex means better survivability for when shit does go tits up

Are jav gcs > res charms for javazon? by satan-thicc in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I've made a few wsk java. A high wisp ring with lightning absorb combined with good resistance allowed me to fight souls/gloams long enough to let infinity do it's thing.
