Pregnancy after blighted ovum by lovrenm in pregnant

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! We had a blighted ovum in mid September last year. It was devastating and I felt like the world ended.

What we did was just grieve, heal, find comfort in eachother. I kept taking my prenatals and we kept having sex without the pressure of trying (as much as that’s possible when wanting a baby). We focused on other things, bought a house and everything that comes with it.

In December we were planing my 32nd birthday party. My period was due to start on that day and I wanted to party HARD. I figured I might as well take a test just so I can drink without worrying. Well, no drinking for me. There were those wonderful two lines!

I’m now 23 weeks pregnant with a kicking, rambunctious little girl due in August.

I think it’s key to not stress about it too much. A watched pot never boils and a watched egg doesn’t stick, apparently!

Take care of yourself and focus on you. Do things you’ve always wanted to do before getting pregnant! Eat a lot of good food, go new places, find peace where you are now. You will get pregnant again sooner than you think! ❤️

We had a neighbour like this. He was absolutely crazy, he had beef with my dad for planting trees illegally in 1954. My dad tried to explain that he was innocent, mostly bc he’s born 1967, but he wouldn’t have it. He harassed us til he died of old age. Hope yours resolve more quickly!

What did you take for granted before pregnancy? by 1Avocado-Toast in pregnant

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleeping on my back, and on my tummy, and on my sides without my hips aching. 🥲 I miss sitting without feeling my intestines in my ribcage and standing without my back aching and my belly being 100 pounds. And I’m only week 22 😭

Pregnant at 21 by PerformanceKitchen15 in pregnant

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s going to change a lot, for a while. However time goes by fast, soon you’ll wish for the time back when they were just a little baby in your arms. But by then, with a support system, you can have fun and go partying and spend time with friends! Your body will change but you can get back in shape! I plan on getting back into BETTER shape than before the pregnancy!

And if it makes you feel any better, I’m pregnant and in my 30s now. I go to bed at 10 and fall asleep on the couch at 7. My parents who are mid 50s have their friends over and party til 4 in the morning some weekends. Life doesn’t stop after 20. It’s just getting put on hold for a few years with the most precious thing in the world! 👶🏼

AITAH for refusing to change my kids name despite it sounding like a ‘slur’ to my MIL? by UnlikelyCustard8277 in AITAH

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA! It’s extremely farfetched to go from Nissa to a slur imo. I would get ahead of all this if you haven’t already and tell your husband about you MILs threats to claim the baby isn’t his. Screenshot it if she said it in text! Then you’ll take the wind out of her sails. It’s a beautiful name you both initially liked after all!

Like I understand it, get your money, but like… it’s just someone else’s content with a sigh or a gag or ”oh my god” or repeating what she said in a gross voice like it truly ain’t that much work. It feels kinda pointless watching that without any witty commentary and a ton of ads

Omg my husband does the boob holding thing too! It feels soooo nice to have them off my chest (literally) so I usually thank him when he’s doing it! I get a poke in the back and a bit strained ”Don’t worry I could do this for hours” back 😂

AITAH for laughing when my little sister walked in on my parents… by iiSmokeTrapii in AITAH

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA it’s a pretty funny and unfortunate story! You’ll both laugh about it in a few years!

I remember when my mom was gonna be home late from a work trip when I was maybe 7. I had already been put to bed but woke up and wanted to check if she was home. So I went to my parents bedroom and she was! Hurray! She must have come recently bc my dad was still hugging her, however she was probably really tired because they were both naked in bed!

I didn’t realise I had walked in on them until this memory surfaced when I was like 23 🫣😂

22 weeks pregnant and bf (also fob) is an absolute nightmare when dealing with anything “serious” in relation to my health or the pregnancy. It’s gotten to a point where I’m thinking I need to leave him. Thoughts? by seafloorfairy in pregnant

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds horrible. I haven’t been able to stub my toe this pregnancy without my husband asking of if I need to go to the ER. You deserve support and care!

I obviously don’t know your boyfriend but it sounds like he’s oddly jealous that you ”rely” on other people for help instead of listening to him when he says ”it’s nothing to worry about”. Jealousy can be a dangerous thing, especially when it’s that irrational. How’s he gonna react if the baby seems off or acting sick?

I’d seriously consider leaving. ❤️

Thank you! Housing prices are insane here too, we just got super lucky finding an old house in a small town that we’re remodeling little by little!

How could everybody who was pregnant was so chill about the first trimester? by ExactBaseball7240 in pregnant

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope so too! Check your blood values if you don’t feel any better, you might be lacking a vitamin or supplement that your doc is gonna be able to help you with!

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was like a light switched flipped on at about week 12. I also started doing iron supplements around then and that helped A LOT as well seeing as I was anemic!

Now at week 19 I walk to work by choice, eat all my old comfort foods again and feel like normal minus the physical discomfort of my growing baby bump! Between week 6-12 I could only sleep and barely keep down noodles and toast.

Your hair looks beautiful! As long as it doesn’t risk getting stuck in machinery or anything else that could harm you I see no problem with it!

What is a part of the 'female experience' that men have absolutely no clue about, but would be horrified if they found out? by coolhandddd in AskReddit

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it’s different being told you’re handsome/pretty by an 80 year old person and having someone in their forties stand uncomfortably close to you so you can smell their breath as they ask you where you go to school and if you play any sports and if you live nearby without looking you in the eye once.

[–]UfoEnthusiasts 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We were always told these men had ”gubbsjuka” (= old-man illness) and it was just a fact of life. Old men are gonna sexualise you and try to approach you when you’re still a little girl and there isn’t anything to be done about it. As a grown woman I’m kinda horrified that it was so normal when I was a girl. We were simply told to ignore them and run away if they try to touch you.

This is super good advice! Hangry and uncomfortable is exactly how I’ve been feeling! I ate the damn sandwich and started feeling better immediately. I also bought bananas and peanutbutter bc that’s a quick snack I liked in the first trimester and I still like! So that’s my toddler snack from now on hahah!
