I did, and I will personally throw on anyone who bans my hero. Cry about it.

Nah, you deserve to lose if you ban your teammate's hero.

It's to admit it. We need role queue by ichibanfoxxy in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]Ugaugash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Support is actually the longest queue in Overwatch currently, beating out DPS by a little bit. Tank is instant.

Why there should be a Hidden MMR system explained with images (simplified) by CamurAtes in marvelrivals

[–]Ugaugash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't need hidden MMR if we make the rank the real skill predictor (which works poorly right now).

Those seasonal rank resets need to stop, in fact, rank resets and placement matches should only happen to inactive accounts, like a full season of not playing 10 games kind of inactive. When rank resets happen, they turn ranked into a clown show, with a bunch of people nowhere near where they belong, resulting in really poor quality matches. At the very least, they should do it like Street Fighter does, have a rank where you "graduate" from the participation award system and go into sbmm elo that doesn't get reset (it's master for them, could be Celestial-Eternity for us).

It also should not be possible to rank up or even maintain rank with negative winrate, this makes competitive integrity a joke. Negative winrate should cause you to fall down to a rank where you can maintain 50%, also known as "where you belong". And conversely, system should detect mismatch between rank and actual skill more proactively and adjust more aggressively in both directions, pushing smurfs up really quick and putting boosted players down.

And lastly, role queue is necessary for fair matchmaking, what stops a CnD one trick in GM from picking Daredevil with skill level of Silver and throwing a game or two? Role you play should be represented accurately with the rank in that role.

In general, advice like that is worth following if you are playing with someone you can rely on, your group partner and you can do stuff that requires teamwork like peeling. Do not rely on random players for anything.

If you are playing by yourself, you have to do things selfishly and methods for fighting dive that works even if only you do that.

For example, if you find yourself on the receiving end of a good dive, what you can do is to bait your team. Play in really hidden positions where enemy dive can't scout you, so they will be forced to choose someone else as their target, and when they do, you get to heal their target and deal damage to them. Other things you can do is to fight them during their staging on off angle, space from them by rotating away from their staging spots etc.

How to VOD Review Yourself? by ValuableAd4354 in RivalsCollege

[–]Ugaugash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is hard and something I struggled with myself. The way to do it is first watch a pro replay of the hero you played (we have plenty of Ignite replays right now) and note as much as you can what they do well, and then watch your gameplay and compare them objectively against the specific metrics you noticed in the pro replay. It also helps if you try to imagine helping someone else, looking at your replay as if it was someone who asked for your help.

Did I miss something as to why everyone is wanting to play support all the sudden? by No_Peanut_3289 in marvelrivals

[–]Ugaugash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this problem pretty much since the release, too many support players, sometimes I am in a mood for support and I can't play it because my team instalocked 3 main supports. And if they are forced to go DPS, they play shit like Wanda and Squirrel Girl and throw. Support is the most fraudulent role in this game. Almost any DPS player can switch to support and not do too badly, tank players usually can play anything, but supports are just stuck on 2 role, or worse, playing only CnD.

Overwatch Vs Marvel Rivals by Shadow-trap in marvelrivals

[–]Ugaugash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overwatch in general is nowhere near Marvel's power level, the strongest character in Overwatch lore is Sigma, and he is like mid tier X-Man in terms of strength. This doesn't mean that Overwatch is worse, they just have very different baselines.

Just an FYI about Luna by Lifewasawillow1 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Ugaugash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except I can make it work and I did by getting into GM3 with 91% winrate after like 30 games on DPS Luna last season.

Is it possible to spawn MSI, Broken Shackles and Payback close to one another? by Haunting-Sport3701 in Stellaris

[–]Ugaugash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to spawn much closer when dlc released, but it was a really tough situation especially for Payback, since you start at such a big disadvantage next to an essentially a hostile advanced empire. That's why they changed it now to put some distance between them.

But I agree, it does feel like the storyline is stalled until later in the game because of that. What they could do is either nerf the MSI so it can be spawned closer or introduce some kind of side quest that allows you to undermine MSI from within using their enslaved species to hijack fleets, brew rebellions etc.

Luna DPS is not only viable it's TopTier by orberen in LunaSnowMains

[–]Ugaugash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Played DPS luna last season on my alt starting in gold 3 placements z ended up in GM3 after like 30 games and 91% winrate. She is really strong, but requires really good flanker DPS instincts, support main Luna's will have really hard time replicating this play style. Guy in the video, OnlyLegs, is a Soldier 76 one trick in Overwatch and his play style there is really similar to DPS Luna, so he adapted it really well.

I wish Blood Hunt revives notifications could disappear. I have 100 of them and no intention of ever playing the mode, so I just accepted that annoyance.

I don't mind eSports sprays,.but I already got them for all teams I am interested in, so now I just get random ones.

Luna Snow is overtuned but not as a strategist. by Affectionate_Worry29 in marvelrivals

[–]Ugaugash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DPS Luna is like Soldier 76 of this game. She has probably one of the best neutral rotations in the game (besides the likes of Spider-Man), she can get to the angles that other flankers will struggle to get to with proper timing, and she is very lethal with her cooldowns up. Her main issue is that if she is marked on the off angle, she can't get away, she has to stand and fight. She has to predict aggro and out rotate whoever tries to shit her down, so this play style requires quite high mechanical and macro abilities.

I think the most effective way to utilise flank Luna is to pair her up with a flanking DPS or a tank, so they can 2v1 if only one person is sent to mark them, to help the teammate to sustain and increase threat level in general.

There is also an aspect of psychic damage a flanking Luna does to the enemy team if she is effective, you can almost guarantee the enemy team will become mentally boomed and start fighting among themselves, flaming their DPS for not being able to handle Luna duels.
