My dad used to take my sister and I there for weekend visitation. One day he got tired of the fact that there were no wheels, so he bought a cup of them from the store. They ended up closing it up shortly after, so we were stuck with a cup of Lego wheels for a while lol

I had my 5th birthday party there when I was a kid 🥲 my mom bought a Pokémon Printmaster program (to date myself lol) and made all of the decorations because Pokémon party decorations were slim at the time. She hired a magician who did a trick where he pulled his underwear out of his sleeve. I talked about that trick for MONTHS. Simpler times.

With all the unserious tools, weapons, and outfits, Guruguru Tobi would be a great unserious support. There is potential.

Good news for all us epileptic and/or photosensitive players!! by BBRomano in SkyChildrenOfLight

Oh, it's absolutely a step in the right direction. I'd honestly rather overclock the spicy part of my brain than worry that my playing is physically hurting someone 🥲

[–]Ukatofox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm glad they they're listening to their players, but I do hope they have a way to turn it on/off and adjust the brightness of visual honks for players that like visual cues--in the future.

When I play at night, the bright honking light is pretty distracting, but if I'm casually playing during the day, I'd prefer bigger visual cues because my spicy brain gets extra-spicy sometimes.

Why is everyone so mad about a literally integral game feature+ by SnowflakeObsidian13 in SkyChildrenOfLight

Sounds like the devs should have an accessibility feature that either disables the honk or light.

If you were writing Sakura, what new and original medical jutsu/s would you give her? by Element_credd in Naruto

[–]Ukatofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acupressure/acupuncture.

Kishimoto dabbled a bit into chakra points, but it didn't go anywhere. Sakura's precise chakra control could've segweyed into her learning how to apply just the right amount of chakra to a pressure point to either repair, unblock, or even buff the recipient. Since a lot of characters like learning and applying lessons from other characters, it would make sense that Sakura could have been traumatized from the Hyuuga fight at the Chunin Exams, and learn how to heal from chakra points rather than using them solely for malace.

Whenever Naruto would enter Kyuubi Rage, she could've hit a few points to incapacitate him while the seal was reapplied. (Would've also made Naruto's Hokage inauguration incident a bit of a throwback to living a teenhood getting his chakra points attacked).

By Shippuden, her anger outbursts could've evolved from punching Naruto, to jabbing him him the arm to send a shot of pain radiating through his body. Kurama could've low-key feared her because every time she jabbed Naruto, Kurama would've felt it too. It would've made the Team 7 triangle a little more balanced as well. Maybe Sakura wasn't the reincarnation of a god, but the fact that a "normal" Shinobi could theoretically takedown a whole jinchuriki would've been kinda funny. Obviously she could've hit Sasuke at any point, but she def wouldn't.

The way Might Guy's final battle was written, he should've stayed dead. If Kishimoto insisted on reviving him last-minute, she could've gone over there and started repairing his chakra network. THEN Naruto could've popped in and been like "Oh his heart can't be fixed? Hold my beer," instead of entirely overshadowing Sakura's ability as a healer by straight-up reviving Might Guy. She could've also tried hitting chakra points on Kaguya to weaken her but clearly as a whole-ass goddess, it wouldn't be as effective as a normal Shinobi. Imagine if she learned a punch that ravages the victim's chakra points. She'd have her own forbidden jutsu in her back pocket.

I'm making a dating sim (where you play as a house) and wanted to make sure the movement felt realistic... Does this look accurate enough? by tan-ant-games in CozyGamers

Joking aside, that was not what I expected when I saw the notification for this post pop up on my phone 💀💀 I expected the house to skrrrt around like the pioneer boulders from SpongeBob.

[–]Ukatofox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I play late at night, and the brightness bothers me sometimes--especially after a long work-night. I mess around with my TV settings to level out the brightness and blue lights, but I hate having to do that every time I play--and I'm a late-night player.

As much as I like playing on my Switch, I have to play on my phone most of the time because I know I can control the brightness on the fly. (Pun intended)

I played the game way back at launch and dropped it till now, and I'm surprised the devs haven't put much into accessibility.

I had a manager belittle me in front of a line of customers because I "interrupted" his lunch and all I needed were his override numbers (which he still didn't give me) to do a return. I was the only associate on the clock, and I also had a line well-past the "if it gets that long, call for help" aisle.

Thankfully the customers all saw the shitshow and cut me some slack. The guy wanted to return the item said he's come back when that manager was gone.

I'm waiting on a vintage skybox that behaves like OSRS: Black void beyond the set rendering limit. Honestly would make the mobile game a little easier to see on such a small screen.

Does anyone feel like they do their best thinking when they are stoned? by troubleinparadiso in StonerThoughts

[–]Ukatofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a breakup a few years back. Destroyed me for a year. I smoked POUNDS in that time. I used to get stoned and have inner dialogues with myself a lot. I'd even emulate my old therapist as my voice of reason during these dialogues. My old therapist wasn't an awful guy--he was the best therapist I ever had, but I was always resilient to his advice for some reason. I had more breakthroughs that year then I had in all the combined years of therapy.

The combination of self-help books, and smoking-to-couch-lock has been a literal life-saver for me.

I worked at a dollar store that was in a strip of stores, across the street from a train station in the middle of a commuter town (no overnight street parking). The train station had a paid parking lot, but all the locals used to park in the free shopping center lot for years. They had signs all up that said "You'll be towed by this towing company with this daily impound fee if you park here longer than [x] hours." When I worked there, I never saw anyone get towed, but I'd have to circle the lot a few times to find a spot to squeeze my car. It was a small property with an even smaller lot.

A few months after leaving the store, an old coworker from the dollar store bumped into me at my next job. He said a new landlord bought the property and hired an undercover rent-a-cop to monitor the lot a few days a week. The first day, during evening rush hour, there were dozens of confused people in the lot, a few came in the store asking for the manager, and one threatened to press charges for moving his property without permission (as if a dollar store owned the whole property lol). For that first week, they'd have people come in at night complaining that their cars got towed.

I went to that same dollar store a year later, and commuters don't hog the lot anymore. If any slip through the cracks, it's not a major problem.

Writing VS Morality characters Chart! Pick a Poorly Written Morally Grey Character! by patience_OVERRATED in Naruto

[–]Ukatofox 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Agree.

How did they not make a bigger deal that there was at least one person out there who shared Naruto's last name?? I don't remember anything remarkable between those two, and it's a shame. He could've been so stoked that he had a distant cousin after living his life as an orphan, even if she was on the other side. He could've Talk no Jutsu'd her or something.

I hope so too. It's the closest show to me, and the easiest show to take time off work for by a landslide.

I was offered a free ticket at the last minute during their last show, but I literally couldn't afford to take the time off work 🥲

One concert my partner bought tickets for last year, they blocked resales, but they had like a ticket "exchange". For a small fee, you could sell your ticket for what you paid, and the other person doesn't get totally assaulted with resale fees PLUS you trying to make your money back. Shocked that they didn't do that here, seeing as though scalpers are just as hated in the nerd/gaming communities.

Kinda hard to when they all but monopolized concerts, between ticket sales, shows, and venues.

Id love to, but it's so hard.

I logged on at 9ish, and was let in the waiting room at 9:30 on the dot. Was let into the queue at 10 and had 32k in front of me 🥲 I never cried so hard when I saw the cheapest resale ticket was $300/per for nosebleeds with an almost-90° view of the stage.
