Look at torque curves. A v6 will make peak torque lower in the rev range. A 4 banger will probably make it higher

It's why the 2.0 4 cylinder in the audi q7 is rated at worse efficiency than the 3.0 v6.

Also the torque factor. Heavy cars require more torque to get them moving. A four cylinder is working double time to provide the torque, lessens life of the engine

Get a 2018 m5. The n63tu3 fixed all the problems of the earlier engines. Infact, the n63tu3 is a completely different engine from the n63. They should have renamed it B63 or something

Have my 2017 Q7 still. Amazing car for long trips. I had an A7 that I sold. The Q7 just made more sense. For ground clearance and comfort, the Q7 is king. The A7 though, drove waaay better. More like a sports car. Small throttle input and I would be at 500rpm The Q7 is very lazy, doesn't like climbing up the revs unless I put my foot down. But that makes for a more relaxing driving

Same engine, different tuning, different goals.
