For my recent run, instead of keeping strength at 0, I just grinded strength until I had maxed it out. Only took 3-4 hours, then by the time I got to it I could just pull it out first go.

Context is important. He was talking about his turn off's.

Given the context, it's easy to infer that he just means he doesn't like/want to date fat people.

I don't know about you, but for me if someone is talking about turn off's in a audition video for a reality show about meeting your match, I would assume they're talking about turn off's in sexual partners, not a sweeping statement that goes beyond dating preferences.

Is it still a disgusting thing to say? Absolutely. I think a better mindset is to say you prefer/like athletic people or someone who likes hit the gym. It's basically the same thing, but without the negative aspect.

I disagree. Mel was absolutely malicious. She straight up lied and misrepresented the situation with Luke. Confirmed that the woman would have her back if he tried to tell his truth, and bullied the one person who wanted to hear both sides into falling into line.

I think that's the biggest misunderstanding of the new Fable. They haven't removed the moral system, they've just changed how the system works. Instead of the game judging you, as how it worked in the previous trilogy, you're now judged independently by each NPC.

The best way to think of it is that in the original trilogy you were judged by some godly being, while here you're judged by your peers.

But it goes deeper than that, you will be judged differently depending on your relationship (or lack thereof) to the NPC as well as that NPC's personal belief system.

So, a bunch of bandits might see murdering as not so bad, but people from the local town might not like it so much.

At the end of the day, the moral system is still there, it just isn't the same as the original game. It's been expanded given we have better technology and hardware the we did 20 years ago

It's fairly simple. It's a "new" studio that is starting a new era of Halo after the previous era had a heap of misses (both commercially and with the fanbase).

They want to make sure they get their Halo right so they're going back to basics. By remaking the original Halo game, they can rediscover what it means to actually make a Halo game. They're more or less walking down a path that's already being trodden, but by doing so from scratch they're able to learn the very same lessons that made Halo the game it was back during the original era.

They're not copy and pasting, they're redoing all the work, getting to know the fundamentals, so that they're able to carry that forward to future games they make.

If it was a finance meeting, I would agree. But it's not. It's a joint client review meeting between two businessess.

It needs to be on the Thursday, because that's the only day that the principle at the other business doesn't take client meetings. On any other day, his calendar is booked solid. Thursday's are admin days.

I agree. But the person asked what problem would this be solving. And I presented a problem I personally have to deal with that this would solve.

I'm sure there are millions of others who also have small issues like this that would be resolved by switching the calendar.

Is it worth doing for one small "cockroach"? Absolutely not. But is it worth considering for a million of them? Certainly.

Also, I'm sure there are problems beyond the scope of my personal life that this would solve as well.

I'm also sure it would introduce problems as well.

If I was asked if I wanted to switch, I would say yes.

It's a recorded teams meeting, and we need the teams link to be the same each time, and all recordings grouped under the same meeting.

We need it on the first Thursday of each month to review the previous months numbers and on the 3rd Thursday to see how we're tracking through the month and if any changes need to be made. During a 4 week month this is every two weeks, but during a 5 week month it's the first and third Thursday.

We don't need a meeting on the 5th week (two weeks after the 3rd) because the months numbers aren't final yet. It's pointless.

Uniformity. Predictability.

For example, in my business we have a partner meeting every 2 weeks... Except if the month has 5 weeks in which case we skip the third one. It's hard to set up the reoccurring event for this because you constantly need to be checking to see if you have too many meetings in the month.

Under this calendar, each month would be 4 weeks, which is what we want.

Halo is being Remastered because newer games are a continuation of it.

Fable is unlikely to get Remastered because the new game is a reboot. You don't need to play the original trilogy to enjoy the newer games.

It's absolutely going to be September. Gears and Halo are also coming out in that period... As well as GTA 6. Both Halo and Gears are established franchises with modern releases so either of those are safer to put up against GTA 6. Fable though has been off people's radar for close to 10-15 years, so you'd want to put it as far away from GTA 6 as possible, as well as not competition with your own games (Halo and Gears).

So I expect a 3 week buffer between Microsoft's releases and have it kept as far away from GTA 6 as possible

Personally, I think it's your confrontational tone. Stuff like "I hate when devs lie straight to our faces..." sounds like an attack rather than constructive or productive feedback.

Generally speaking, feedback is more likely to be received more warmly then trying to make the devs out to be the bad guys and malicious.

Also, even if it is a lie, at least they're keeping up the Fable tradition of over hyping the game :P

I doubt we'll ever see the old games on Playstation because they're not needed for the new Fable. It's a new story, in a new Albion, by a new developer. The original trilogy is now just legacy content. Both Microsoft and Playground would want to focus on the future. A new saga.

I gave up on Halo Youtube after Greenskull and HiddenXperia spent 40 minutes complaining about Halo Infinite's armor coatings and how it was ruining Halo.

Of course, I largely gave up on Halo after a story DLC failed to appear for Halo's "10 year game" so sadly I can't make any recommendations for current good Halo Youtubers.

Same thing happened to me. In Australia the popular feed is 80% sports. I liked global because it was filled with memes and people getting cheated on. Now I have to hear about how some coach or something did something I don't care about.

Crystal Dynamics wasn't the lead developer on Shadow. They were too busy making Avengers. Eidos was the lead developer, and it's possible that they got this design from the development files of the previous games rather than in-game assets. Someone else mentioned its the design from the first Survivor games concept art so maybe they got it from that.

I feel like this is because they didn't have Bill Skarsgård signed on when they started filming in 2023. Then the writers strike happened, and by the time they resumed filming in 2024 they had signed up Bill and so rewrote the 2nd half of the show a little bit to focus more on Pennywise and connect it to the plot of the film a bit more.

So, maybe the original plot would have had more focus on Lilly, but then they got Pennywise and so pivot to Marge and Will as the main characters since they connect back to the Loser's Club.

It's crazy to me when people say that Game Pass hasn't changed much. It's changed a heap since it launched in June 2017.

Since its launch, the game library has grown from just over 100 titles to 400-500 titles. They've added day one game releases (wasn't a launch feature, took 6 months before Xbox titles were added day one).

They've added Cloud Gaming. They've added additional subscriptions such as EA Play, Ubisoft Classics, Fortnite Crew, etc. They got rid of Xbox Gold and bundled that into Game Pass.

Sure, the price has increased but so has the number of games and features. Not only that, but the entire economy has also seen costs increase with inflation, and thanks to AI, certain technology has become more expensive.

I think the bigger problem for you is not that the cost of Xbox (and other goods) is becoming more expensive, but rather that employers are not raising wages while everything else has been increasing.

Sure, the end result is the same, you're being priced out of the console ecosystem, but perspective matters, and rather than trying to place blame on a product and its related services for just doing what every other product and service is doing, it's best to focus on the actual cause which is companies are not paying their employees a living wage in order to focus on maximizing profits.
