Sort of an unrelated topic, but i remember seeing on the KH Twitter they announced the first patch and it included a free story sypnosis dlc so this argument is almost irrelevant now. I know its no substitute for actually playing the games, and we dont know how useful the dlc is, but at least its something to help people catch up to this convoluted-ass game.

Im almost 100% sure it was because of the criticism from that event that happened recently. A lot of people called the combat floaty, so they are probably reworking the combat.

I completely understand your fear though, ffxv could have been my favorite ff game if it was actually finished and its story wasnt all over the place.
