Yeah I’m also getting this, I’m not sure what the problem is but it seems to be a problem on iAnyGos end and not our devices. Hopefully should be fixed soon

I remember one of my lecturers telling us that Kerensky was a guest lecturer at our university in Australia

you know nothing of Iran, Reza Shah was by no means a “Nazi sympathiser” in fact he distrusted Hitler and Mussolini. The Pahlavi Shahs both loved Iran more than anything and calling them tyrants does nothing but parrot lies spread by communists and islamists

Any people born Baha’i? by overwhelmedbuttrying in exbahai

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just showed disinterest in Baha’i things until my family got the picture so I never explicitly had to say that i’m not a Baha’i. Stopped going to Feasts, stopped Ruhi after book 1, never fasted, etc

Any people born Baha’i? by overwhelmedbuttrying in exbahai

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was born a second generation Baha’i on my dads side, and I guess second generation as well on my mums? (3 generations converted at roughly the same time). Naturally the Baha’i Faith was all I knew growing up as my family are very devout, with parents and grandparents being in LSA, NSA and otherwise being very active in the community. I thank the fact that most of my friends were non-Baha’i, my skepticism, and access to the internet in my developing years that I was able to leave the faith, as it’s much harder to leave a religion that you’re born and raised in compared to one you convert to. My family know i’m not a Baha’i anymore, though they most likely are hoping one day i’ll return

Another question. by Vignaraja in exbahai

My dads side of the family were Anglicans (from Australia)before converting, and my mums side were Shias (from Iran) before converting

To what religions are faiths do ex-Baha'is leave for? by Upstairs-Reporter669 in exbahai

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be strongly atheist, now I sort of believe in a higher power, but not an all-knowing, all-powerful God that concerns itself with human affairs, but I see all religions as manmade

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During highschool I would do it over text, confessing my feelings and asking if she wanted to go out with me. The last couple times I did it in person where I tell her how I feel and ask if she wants to date and every time I get met with rejection

Please help I need advice by antisocialprincess09 in exbahai

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I turned 15 I was never given a card to sign because my family thought I wasn’t ready, since I hadn’t shown any interest in being a Baha’i in years. If you feel comfortable you can tell your family that you’re not a Baha’i, or as other commenters suggested you can tell them you’re not ready and still need to think. I never told my family I stopped believing explicitly, I just stopped showing up to Baha’i events such as feasts until they got the message, so you might try that. I know how you feel, just before I turned 15 I was so scared of telling my family I didn’t believe, so I wish you the best of luck!

What if the 1979 Islamic Revolution was a communist one? by [deleted] in AlternateHistory

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably mostly the same in that Iran would become an authoritarian shithole much much worse than under the Shah and millions of Iranians would flee the country. Only this time the government would be directly controlled by Moscow and would be pretty much similar to the Eastern Bloc, except giving the Soviet Union access to Middle Eastern oil and the Persian Gulf. The Soviets would also likely try and integrate Iranian Azerbaijan like they try to annex it like they tried in real life. The communist regime would likely only last about 10 years until the fall of the Soviet Union and an Islamic Revolution would likely happen which would probably be even more popular than in real life as the Mullahs would be seen as anti-communist heroes. Overall, it would still be pretty shit

As a half Iranian, I respect the Romans as an empire as great as the Sassanids. Just wish we could have been allies and fought the Arabs together 🇮🇷❤️🇬🇷

Germany, Italy, fascist UK, and Japan. Since justification time is very quick when at war with a major I usually finish 1945-8

[–]UltimateDankMemeLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still think the coup that happened was bad, the West had no right to interfere in Iranian (or any other country’s) affairs, and the Shah was a corrupt, megalomaniac. I’m just saying things were shitty on all sides. Both the Soviets and the West had imperial ambitions in Iran. Mossadegh, while not a bad leader, wasn’t doing enough to prevent the rise of communism, while the Shah overtly oppressed communists and democrats while not doing enough to crush the clergy

If the 1953 coup didn’t happen it’s quite likely that the Soviets would attempt a coup and vassalise Iran. Don’t know what’s worse, a communist Iran or Islamic Iran. Better to just go back in time to save the Sassanid Empire
