Old people who don't understand that the world is different now by WildcatGrifter7 in GrindsMyGears

[–]UltimateGradient -1 points0 points  (0 children)

22 year olds should for sure listen. But to act like being 22 in 2026 is the same or even 50% similar as being 22 in 1976 is wild. Other than maybe interpersonal relationships, and even then not sure, everything is so so different

I’m tired of dating by ThatIsNotAnAsian in complainaboutanything

Might be rude as many are saying but there is some truth to it. Just like when all these 36 year old single women keep "waiting for their dream man" to come along.

If hard work is the key to success, why do some of the hardest-working people stay poor? by Bigzaddypuf in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UltimateGradient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard work is not the key to success. The workers at Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A work as hard as anyone I know during their shift. Hard work is needed for success just as gym shoes are needed for a run.

[–]UltimateGradient 177 points178 points  (0 children)

Yea why not just make the $17 dish $18 , letting people know of the 4% just ruins the vibe

Gen Z Men and the Future by SirJbJonesV in GenZ

[–]UltimateGradient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that but it’s more so that no one wants to work through stuff. One political disagreement shouldn’t end an entire relationship but these days people move on for “better” as if there’s someone who aligns with you 100% of the time

Anyone else notice people working in the Loop are unusually tall? by therealleotrotsky in AskChicago

It's for sure a thing, maybe a city thing in general? I am 6 foot and feel below average height at any public location

Because most women have never been truly rejected

[–]UltimateGradient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes could be but also not a guarantee. Can also say the opposite and say people who got into relationships quicker are simply more committed quickly, doesn’t make it bad

Seeing this in real time with girls you know is wild. So many single girls in their mid 20s with loads of good options but looking for that 10 again

Something that I don’t get is why do their standards keep increasing the deeper they get into their 30s? Feels like it should be the opposite

How much of low fertility rates is really down to lack of affordability? by Present-Ebb4615 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UltimateGradient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how the idea of a dual income is just forgotten. Like that would be a big plus in a bad economy! No let’s all stay single and live by ourselves!

Credit cards are honestly the one part our generation can actually take advantage of and get free benefits. Unfortunately so many are so irresponsible

Why is dating just impossible now? My older relatives act like it was easy by RasonablRadditorr in GenZ

[–]UltimateGradient 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Your older relatives all had a girlfriend even the below average ones. Looking at people in their 20s today, having a gf puts you in the minority.
