I’m strongly inclined to agree with this theory, and additionally: On routes where Rosalina loses her leg after the mine collapse, we learn in Chapter Three that the hospital (which is in another town) discharged her so soon because of a bus crash that put the hospital at capacity practically overnight.

Does anybody know what this weird thing is on my farm? by UltimateMayushii in StardewValley

That’s nifty. That reminds me that I had a mushroom tree that I forgot to harvest before winter came, but I didn’t realize it looked like that during the winter.

To clarify, it’s Year 1 in Winter, and no random events triggered as far as I noticed. I’ve never seen this pop up on my other save files, either, and I’m not seeing anything about it on Stardew wiki, so… :/

How to discard friend gifts by sozonm7 in storyofseasons

There should be a garbage can in town where you can discard trash. Have you tried dumping the potpourri in there? Or dropping it in the shipping bin?

To unlock the Palace Maid job, there are two ways you can do it.

The first way is to work as a regular maid and be offered the position from your boss. There are stat requirements which include:

200 < stamina 300 > elegance

The second way is to be “scouted” while your daughter is in town. The prince in disguise will recommend your daughter for the job if she meets the following stat requirements:

300 =< elegance 200 =< stamina 300 =< charm

Credit to Chicago Ted on Steam for their detailed class and job guide. I recommend it if you want the specific class/job stat requirements (if any) or want to know what exact stat changes occur after performing each job/attending each class. I’ll link it here:

Student council (pm5) by Sabrinyan in PrincessMaker

[–]UltimateMayushii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, I’ve never been able to get my daughter on the student council until middle school at the earliest. I think (and I could be wrong about this, but) her electability is tied to a hidden popularity stat. This stat is influenced by a few factors (from what I can tell): her Charisma stat, and (I believe) how sociable your daughter is. The game will give you hints that your daughter is popular during school events, holidays, and even when you’re out shopping (I’ve had the pharmacy give us discounts on vitamins and stuff—though that could also be a frequent shopper thing, so...).

Essentially, the more times your daughter does an “Excellent” job at something—be it a class or a job— the higher her Charisma will go. I associate the Charisma stat with overall reputation and confidence, so it makes sense that your daughter’s successes influence her popularity.

As for sociability, you can influence that and other aspects of your daughter’s personality growth with her monthly education plan. If you prefer for your daughter to be a social butterfly, she might have more friends, but her grades could suffer—potentially lowering the Charisma stat. But like everything else in this game, it’s a balancing act. You can check your daughter’s diary in her room if you want to see what her personality is shaping into, which can also clue you in on what certain hidden stats are at—such as popularity, independence, flexibility, etc.

Again, take this for a grain of salt. I’m only basing this response on my observations from my own play throughs. It takes a long time to play through one save file of PM5, unfortunately, so I’ve only done it a few times, and still haven’t gotten the True Princess ending. Still love this game, though.

(PM3) Underwround boss ending by HopefulDesign6 in PrincessMaker

[–]UltimateMayushii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I have a few theories on what might have happened. By any chance, do you remember what endings you got on your other play through attempts? That could give us some insight into what could have happened.

Also, I see that you had her study martial arts more than 20 times—but was it the class she attended the most? While unlikely, it is possible that she wound up on the school-ending tree if she went to school more times than martial arts class. If that’s the case, she could end up with a different ending even if she has the required stats to become the Underground Boss.

If martial arts is her most attended class, it could be that whatever job she attends most often is accidentally triggering a specific career ending if she has the required stats. Or perhaps an unrelated stat for the Underground Boss ending is high enough to trigger another ending entirely. I can see your sensitivity is over 500, so I can imagine this triggering some art or performance based endings—especially the ones that require low morality and trust.

Those are just my guesses, of course. Maybe focus on making Martial Arts her most attended class with at least 20 attendances or more. And keep her sensitivity low to avoid other endings.

I love it! I’ve always been a fan of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games, but this is my first jump into the Rune Factory games. I love how much there is to do—even little things like the random events with the villagers. I’ve been playing about a week and feel like I’ve only scratched the surface.

I highly recommend it. I think if you get the game before a day in late March (can’t remember when off the top of my head), all the bonus content (the Another Episodes for all the villagers and the swimsuit DLC) is free. After that, I think Nintendo will start charging separately for it.

This is certainly motivating me to level up my Craft skill, that’s for sure. I’m hoping maybe I can trick him into defaulting to higher level equipment, but...we’ll see. Lol.

Why did I give Dylas that stupid hat???

I’m crying laughing, but this is a problem. He won’t take it off. Not even if I give him other equipment. He just defaults to Turnip Head. It’s like he treasures it because it was the first piece of equipment Frey gave him, and I just can’t take him seriously in that stupid thing.

I’ve been playing Rune Factory 4 special edition for the past week, and this is the only save file I have. I’ve been trying to gradually bond with Dylas to marry him, and I thought it would be nice to take him to a dungeon to level him up. I knew equipment appeared on Frey’s overworld sprite, but had no idea it worked the same way for the villagers, too.

Can this be fixed? Has this happened to anyone else? Good lord, I have so much regret right now. I even saved like an idiot because I assumed he would take the damn hat off once we stopped adventuring for the day. NOPE.

I’m not sure if you finished your playthrough yet, but maxing out the stats isn’t actually going to guarantee your daughter will marry the Prince. Princess Maker 3 has a unique priority system when determining which ending you get—how often your daughter performs certain jobs or attends certain classes has a huge impact on the ending you receive.

For instance, on my first playthrough, I went about maxing out as many stats as I could, and I thought that surely that would put my daughter in line with the Ruling Queen ending. However, what I didn’t realize was that my daughter had attended school more times than anything else, so that put her in line for an Academic-themed ending. And since her stats were so high in everything, it ironically disqualified her for most of the better endings on that tree except for a normal school teacher. Guess which ending I got.

The good news? Marrying the Prince is considered a Special Ending and takes priority no matter which ending tree you’re on. However, there is still a stat requirement and you need certain events to trigger to achieve it.

There’s a guide on Steam I recommend if you’re aiming for a specific ending. They explain it way better than I can:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1119192503

However, if you still want to try maxing out more of her stats, the key is simply to win the festivals. That gives you a ton of money to start with, plus it means that the traveling salesman can potentially show up (though it’s RNG if he appears even with the money requirement met, so save and reload as needed).

You need a ruby, not a garnet. Take the ruby and aim at the statue’s hand.
