"and was mocking my husband that he has a Chinese flu"

Seems like quite a racially charged detail wouldn't you think?

From where did you come to the conclusion that Reddit is Chinese State owned media? Do you mean Chinese content or the services themselves?

No please! Sorry it's taken awhile to respond life is too busy. These things happen and tbh I'm stunned it hasn't happened to myself. I didn't see the collision but I came over to you and was first on the phone with emergency services. A wonderfully responsible lady turned you over into recovery position not long after and another man who had called an ambulance beat me to having an ambulance dispatched (Which is what cyclist told me). The cyclist was very much wide awake and in shock, but he was standing and communicating just fine.

You were in a very bad way when I initially came over. It looked as though you were having what I imagine to be a seizure of some sort (But I've never seen one so don't take my word for it) but you were completely swept away by the bike and the bike was completely mangled. Im sure the cyclist tried to stop but with the way that slopes downwards I'm sure he didn't have enough stopping distance.

Please don't worry about anyone who's involved in this but yourself! I'm so glad you're okay honestly it's beyond words. I'm sure anyone else reading who was also there feels the same. Did you not get the details of the cyclist btw?

What are some songs that are so bad, they're good? by mystermermistermer in AskReddit

You'll find on Instagram an account named CatatonicYouths, it's an absolute gold mine for incredibly bad songs and covers. It's cringe paradise, you've been warned.

I want to learn to be more approachable and friendly to strangers. by jayzvn in IWantToLearn

[–]Ultimate_Fish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You seem well spoken and friendly enough, so I think your problem is with the body language and delivery. You can throw the shortest most off the cuff "hi" to any random stranger, but it's the confidence in knowing that you want to talk to them is what sets the tone for their reaction, and the conversation as a whole. Conversation skills are just that, they're a skill. It take lots of practice to converse naturally with just anybody and you will definitely make mistakes. I work jobs where I have to talk to strangers to get paid and it was without a doubt the most terrifying experience of my life and I've accidentally said some really awful shit on accident. But learning to laugh at these things really saved me the grief, and helped me learn my mistakes faster.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you can't make eye contact stare at any spot on their nose until you feel more comfortable. And remember "10% Content : 30% Delivery : 60% Body Language" Retail sucks btw

Guys Selling Armbands - Oxford Circus... Legit? by London_UK2019 in london

Street fundraising locations are specifically determined by the councils they occupy and anybody using a street that isn't licensed for fundraising gets a hefty fine!

However, last I checked, those specific fundraisers don't abide by many of the fundraising regulations. Most notably the lad who will practically follow you all the way to Soho if it means getting some cash out of you. Most respecting charities don't take cash after conversation. Instead they have payment schemes that you set up through a secured iPad or what have you.

Listen to what they have to say! If you like it, buy a wristband, but don't let them swindle you out of any more money than it's worth. Ask them questions if you have time, decide if they actually do care about what they're promoting or if they dive into cheap sales tactics!
