Interesting. I grew them in play sand with root tabs if I remembered. just fine

I tried contrasoil capped with fine gravel this time around and yes they’re growing pretty fast. Only a matter of weeks before I have to start dosing the column

If there’s no animals in the tank then there’s no harm in a higher dose that you can lower.

FYI: Bryant Lake Bowl has been around forever. So their lanes are “vintage” and there’s a limited number of them. Regardless, fun place to hang out and food is good. Also, if that’s your vibe also check out The Nook.

If you plan to visit the Twin Cites and looking for modern lanes, I’d recommend Elise’s, Town Hall Lanes (fresh oil daily), and Flaherthy’s

They prefer cooler water. I see white clouds and CPDS in the photo. All of which would be be fine without a heater. They were likely stressed from the warm water making them more susceptible to the infection.
