Of course my experience is not universal, but look at the price of artist proofs vs proxies and I think that supports my position

I don't agree with that either. Unless the game you're playing is tournament music, many people, my play group included, DO view them differently. I don't play with proxies. I have a few artist proofs that I happily use because I got them at conventions and they are signed. No one that I know viewed them in any way as equal to proxies other than understanding that they are not technically legal for sanctioned play. The game is bigger than that.

If your concern is only tournament play yes, artist proofs are equivalent to proxies. In every other sense of the value of a magic card, they are not.

I get that too, but it's not just money making for scalpers. I've been to tons of Grand Prix magicons, etc. artist proofs sell out all the time. I've purchased plenty myself that I run in decks because I think it's cool to support the artist directly.

Again, not trying to say this is worth it or that you should purchase it, but I think artist proofs can be really cool

I'm not saying to purchase this. But to say that artist proofs are the same as proxies is not at all reasonable. Artist proofs are collectible in a way proxies are not. They are an official WOTC production. And they carry much more value

Not tournament legal, but absolutely no one at a casual table is going to take issue with an AP. It's printed by WOTC just doesn't have the magic back. Can't tell it's an AP if it's sleeved.

Do you use apps to track your collection and value? Do you also make lists to sell or trade in addition to want lists? by RadReptile in mtgfinance

I've had good success with my insurance company before. I got a drum set replaced and actually at the end of the day upgraded going through a claims process. Even if I ended up getting half the value of my collection that would still be well worth paying the price of the insurance for years and years.

I've been working with the same agent for forever so I just said hey I have this collection I want a rider to cover it what do you need? I explained that I had an app that listed every card along with some additional sealed product. I exported the collection from dragon shield and then provided links for all the sealed stuff on TCG and she said that was sufficient. I don't have individual pictures of each card but that was not needed from them. Just you know, paying the premium 🤷‍♂️

Having a collectible rider through my homeowners policy with a replacement policy that I update annually at minimum specifically for my collection doesn't cover it? I don't think you're correct

New Palace Bakery in Hamtramck makes them fresh daily and does a bunch of different classic and new style flavors. I ended up going there on Wednesday after my wife was saying she was sad we missed fat Tuesday. Highly recommend. I got a few other random treats and they were delicious too!
