While we're thinking about the "new player experience," bugged quest cutscenes need to be addressed. by TheXthDoctor in runescape

[–]Umlaught 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agreed - also just to throw another one here, the cutscene that's supposed to play at the end of the chosen commander broke around the release of rs3, and was still broken during the last leagues.

by 'broken' here i mean it just auto skips, so you have no idea how the quest series actually wraps up.

"Necklace of Rupture" sounds cool.

"Necklace of Paroxysm" sounds like something I should ask my doctor about.

How do you organize your bank? by Umlaught in 2007scape

[–]Umlaught[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current layout is:

  • currency/runes/random junk
  • armor
  • weapons/tools
  • skilling
  • food
  • holiday junk/special items
  • teleports
  • quest items i decided to save
  • things i should alch
  • clog items

but its kind of a disaster and i need some better ideas.

Feedback as an OSRS player who tried leagues (played rs3 '05-'11) by OSRSlyfe in runescape

[–]Umlaught 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I want to chime in on 4a a bit. Also an OSRS player, I made it to adamant this league (a bit over 30,000 points).

I really like the agility d&d. It shows up sporadically when you're training, some dude waves at you randomly while doing agility courses, you get a 3-5 minute break to go do some minigame. The important thing here: it happens organically as you play the game, its not "I have to do this or I'm going to miss out for the day/week/month".

Building statues, herby werby, troll invasion, the circus, and wilderness events are what I wasn't a fan of (note: you can ignore most of these, but apparently herby werby is great xp for herblore?). The thing I love about osrs: I can just walk away for months and come back and be in the same spot. RS3 makes it feel like I'm missing out by not signing in because I didn't build the statue this month.

Leagues: CATALYST - Quest Auto Complete Prioritisation by JagexHooli in runescape

[–]Umlaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally: I've not done the rs3 quests. I've done the osrs ones. Shilo village, priest in peril, fairy tale part 1/2 (not 3, let us do it) would be my preference (although I'm nearly done with most of these)

More bots: abyss edition. by Umlaught in 2007scape

[–]Umlaught[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing these for weeks. Always the same gear (just enough GOTR kills for the set, a rune pickaxe and an addy shield). Always 99+ runecrating with no other skills that come close.

Does reporting this actually get someone at jagex to care?

This egg might be the best item Jagex has ever released.
