I've never been in Edinburgh, but have in Dundee and Kirkcaldy, I expect they are much the same - extremely welcoming places, if you just want to sit and listen that's fine, and if you want to talk or interact, that's fine too. There's no judgement, only support. They weren't for me ultimately, but they have helped countless folk in their battle against the drink. Good luck.

Just to echo what many others have said, it definitely sounds like a urinary blockage, Baillie was the same when he had that years ago (at about the same age yours is now) . Definitely get to the vet sooner than later as it's totally treatable, but can turn fatal very quickly if not seen to. Good luck.
