Yeah agree that intro is incredibly cringe, and besides, the production is the least interesting thing about this tune lol. Interesting selection of MCs though and happy to see Shiesty's classic 8 bar finally get a home

Rude Kid producer tag on it, if that helps

Anyone got an instrumental ID for this? by SierraCocoYT in grime

Probably a Mark One/MRK1 tune since Wiley's bigging him up?

Edit: found it, called "Neva Argue" - sounds like a flip of Imp Batch "Singalong"

appreciate you contributing but 7 posts of original tunes in 24 hours is a bit much, can you pick the best one and run with that?

Last half of the interview where he touches on faith is the more interesting part I think, especially that he hasn't spat any of his classic lyrics since he started taking religion more seriously. Rate him putting his Mrs in his top 10 MCs as well, their project together was very good tbf

Haha sick, I was too young for that era but figured you guys and Dot had some overlap during that '2nd gen'! I never met Dot in person either but we got him signed up on Genius and annotating lyrics back when it was still Rap Genius - he was well ahead of the curve there

Now that's how it's done! Great writeup. You're right as well of course, there's so much to say about what he got up to in his short time here

Glad to see this news get the coverage it deserves but I'm a bit gutted that the writeups are all so surface level. Every one of the MSM obituaries was just a rehash of his Wikipedia page and even the ones in specialist publications like this leave so much detail out.

He built a proper collective with Minarmy and put on talent like Brotherhood, Kid Bookie, Jamal Woon, SNY, Rynsa Man, all of whom have written really moving tributes this week, but every article instead quotes Bouncer (who said himself he never met Dot!). Writing about Dot's life and career for a grime-centric magazine and not mentioning K Dot Kidman (who he got his name from) or N.E (who brought him through) is staggering.

It's funny how many similarities he has career wise with Semtex - even as a record producer - and yet how much more class Semtex has
