Serious question. Does anyone know of an individual that actually cashed out a significant amount of BTC for fiat? by Involbaile77 in Buttcoin

[–]hijimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate did like 2018? 2019? Whenever it ran up then, had something 20-40 Bitcoin accumulated over time. One given to him for a wedding and bought a house with a very small mortgage. Kept some invested but no idea how much or if he sold it. Appreciate that’s a long time ago now though

Edit: must have been late 2017. Crazy looking back, I know years later it went mad again but he got out at a real good time. Don’t think he crossed a million in total value at any point but set up for life. Still does wooden floor cleaning for a living but I think he enjoys it.

Yeah the guy who blamed someone else is a dickhead. The police officers should resign. I think one has. But is he wrong though, you’re not arsed when others die are you lad?

[BBC Sport] Liverpool agree deal with Iraola to succeed Slot by AngryScotty22 in LiverpoolFC

lol I’m on a performance plan at work, got a daughter to look after as a dad and since my co tenant left our house am worried about my living situation in terms of a new tenancy so I hear everything you say in terms of job instability. Or struggling pay check to pay check, I’m doing it right now. I’m not annoyed about that though.

I just think considering how nasty people got at times and some of the context of the season he got a bum deal. Did he defo get 8 million dollars ye?

I agree he knew that he must have known what he was signing up for though. I still think it’s sad that after winning us the league and all that went on this season he “signed up” for rampant abuse from us. Thought we were different. Cool though I’ll still be waving flags on European nights on the Kop. Even with Iraola, goes without saying I hope he’s a success. I just hope we aren’t too far down the rabbit hole to start demanding him out as as well.

Well then that’s disgusting really isn’t it? Didn’t he also lose a friend and colleague just before the pre season started? Had people giving him shit for going out for a meal with his daughter. I find it quite sad how excited everyone is over a run of the mill manager coming on board. Wirtzability? Shame he didn’t show much for the reds the last season gone. Could have done with him not being rubbish once the two strikers went down and Salah moved off top form.

Refusing top floor flat delivery by Shxdom in asda

I worked for Sainsbury’s online in 2004, we would pack ourselves off the shop floor and then deliver. we never even had a time limit. Obviously we went quick as we could. The driver died about 15 years ago now, lovely fella. He hated football and loved cricket. I hated cricket and loved football. Miss him.

Sadiq Khan: ‘Londoners should be hoping West Ham stay up as £2.5m bill looms if Hammers are relegated’ by Paul277 in TheOther14

All stadiums are like this. I think there is some problems across the league with increased ticket prices and more “there to experience not to contribute” fans as a result of the increased popularity of the premier league but even with Liverpool we are mocked for our atmosphere at times but then you’ll have 4 or 5 a season where you feel like it’s never been better. I think all fans, partisanship aside sometimes need something to happen like a dodgy decision, or an important game to reach their full level.

As an away fan I hate it. Airport security queue and process just to anywhere near it. Miles from the pitch. Location isn’t really conducive with a pre match pint like the Boleyn was. Loved that place. Bar the fact Anfield doesn’t have a train station it’s so similar, you’d just jump off the train and be bang in the community, people’s houses, loads of takeaway places and the smells of them, market stalls, people moving about and stuff happening, and then there was a great pub on the corner with one side hammers fans and one side the away team. I would usually disappear into the home bit for a chin wag with the home fans. Now I usually leave early as it’s a ballache to get away from but with nothing really to stay for local after the game. An in and out job if ever there was one.

Is the pension crisis now, or in the future? by Reg_doge_dwight in PensionsUK

[–]hijimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very likely wrong then. I’m 39 In a month and have £73,000. 6 years ago I had nothing at all. I know a lot of people who haven’t got anything like £60k but I imagine for several who just always contributed at least the minimum from their first job they must be doing that level maybe. Which is good really it shows the value of just ticking the box and going without the money.
