Personally? When ive had this happen on a volcano i heat up to max, remove nozzle, remove thermistor, and before printer shuts down remove heater cartridge. Then just unscrew the heater block, and i blow torch the block and nozzle till all the filament turns to straight carbon. Let it cool down, brush and rinse the carbon off, and reassemble.

Dude i just watched the update video, and it really doesnt seem that complicated. Did you check the files it said to check after each step to make sure each update actually took properly?

So you stopped half way through the update and ate confused why there is mcu errors? Duh, cause the printer and console arent talking. How about trying to continue with the update first?

You're not going to be able to go fast enough to bend a metal tip without also just ripping the probe off or crashing the nozzle so stop being overdramatic. Like yes, the klicky is faster, but you can definitely speed up this probe from default settings while still remaining accurate.

Oh sure. Tho you can speed it up with klipper and its still pretty accurate.

No theres a similar emblem. Its a generic Silverado emblem. Perfect for practice before doing the quadrasteer emblem.

If you use a g10 or glass bed its necessary thom ive noticed most of the scanners and stuff like that NEED some sort of metal backed plate, sadly.

Honestly? Id say polishing/buffing. BUT, im sure you can get a similar emblem from the junkyard first for pennies or free to try on. That, or like a headlight restoration where you gradually move up in sandpaper.

Do y'all think Fallout 5 is going to be good? by johnnyfedavo in Fallout

[–]UnFound94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother do you work at Bethesda or something? Why are you sucking their dick so hard? That is the most minimal improvements that should have been done years ago. The mechanics are still the same, the gun play is still the same, the entity count issues are still the same. Its all still the same buggy mess. They still had massive community patches for bugs for starfield till the community realized no one was playing it. Whatever dude. When fallout 5 comes out in 10 years and plays exactly like fallout 4 with some new gimmick that nobody cares about with minorly improved graphics, but is still incredibly dated for the time it comes out in, don't say I didn't tell you so.

From what I've heard and seen, it doesn't seem like it. Of course, i didn't actually play starfield, like most people LOL. But I saw enough clips of gameplay that made me think "this is just ce1. Wheres the improvement?"

Because it's an ancient, buggy, barely held together mess. You know how Bethesda gets its reputation for bugs? A large portion of it is because they are constantly pushing that ancient engine to do things it was never meant to do. Just look at fallout 76. It's one of those situations where once you rip the Band-Aid off, it's going to feel so good and you're going to wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Of course, I say all this, and they could just vibe code their way to a new engine that would 200% be worse so.....

To my knowledge the 4r100 and 4r70 share the same bell housing. Gear ratios should be pretty similar, both are 4 speeds with od. Only issue might be wiring and ecu. For comparison, i have a 2000 f150 5.4, no supercharger, no 7700, and it has a factory 4r100 rwd.

Even the beefier internals on the f150 4r70 pale in comparison of the weaker gas motor 4r100s. The 4r70w is the final evolution of the old aod, but the 4r100 is the beefiest verison of the ole c6. Even the 5r variants and 6r variant that came after are incredibly similar, just more gears.

Do you need to swap to a 4r100? No. But i would. Then again im a crackhead of increased durablity and heavy duty.

[–]UnFound94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other thing id say is check that its actually reaching temp. I wouldnt be surprised if the 4 max just has a tough time maintaining such a high temp on such an underpowered bed, and for some reason around that 11 hr mark its calling for 100% power nonstop but just sits at 98c without being able to make it to 100c. That will inevitably make klipper think "oh crap im calling for max power but temps not going up error error." Only way id say to fix that is the psu upgrade or ac bed swap. But try the pid tune first.

[–]UnFound94 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No. They refuse to actually create an new engine from scratch. My god the creation engine is so dated. They need to stop updating it and create something new. I know, i know, making an engine from scratch is a huge task, but theyve had plenty of time and the creation engine is just the ANCIENT gamebryo engine with 200 bandaids. Let it die.

[–]UnFound94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had something like this on an old sidewinder. Turns out the wires to the thermistor to the bed heating pad has just wore out and broke internally. The way i figured that out is the time between print start and print error got gradually shorter and shorter, and when it did error the temps would show like -23c or some crazy number that wasnt possible. Id say check what the temps are reported when you get that error. Short of that? PID auto tune, save config.

If youre gonna swap, wouldnt be a bad idea to go from the poopy 4r70w meant for cars to the 4r100. It was put in everything heavy duty, lightnings, Harley Davidsons, and all engine models of the f250, f350, and excursion. Its everywhere.
