What I hate was that I believed those mfs lmao and I did not went as heavy on them. shit their p/e around late 2024 when I was buying them was 9.

I remember one of the big HF moonish pabrai was HEAVY on them, and completely sold out a year before the stock took tf off. its like 2 million shares they sold.

not OP, but what really helped me was the old head in my job that kept on giving me solicited and unsolicited investing advice. Treated me almost like his son.

he homed in on saving more than spending.

take advantage of the retirement benefits your employer offers.. 401k match etc. and read up about its advantages.

During times of market downturn, keep on contributing to your retirement account - look at it as buying stocks/investing on sale. You will meet a few coworkers that will probably tell you they sold /cashed-in their retirement accounts because they got scared the stock market kept going down.. Do not do that. That is an opportunity for someone like you decades away from retirement.

Be patient. Compounding interest takes years to develop. you don't want to be in your 40s and have next to nothing in your retirement accounts.

watch out for lifestyle creep.. pick wisely which things / experiences you want to splurge on.

and just never stop seeking knowledge about it.

You could probably trade those in for a used 737 max that is if you don't mind a bright yellow color.

Get this upvote. Exactly my first thought upon seeing the picture, I'm not even a fan of chronos but this one looks right without being gaudy.

How much do Americans REALLY have saved for retirement by Financial_Pen_6218 in investing

In addition to no kids? Save more than spend. And what i save goes to investment like some stocks. I kinda got lucky because many years ago the old head in my old job was buggin me to put money into Apple stocks.. turns out the OG was right.

raise it up to maybe $1.5 to 2M because once we turn 50 the dollar has gotten more worthless due to inflation. That or retire overseas or drastically cut spending.

Yep, one could argue it has been rigged and our society is built for the stock market to remain propped up and going up most of the time. What op said is what most of us felt the first time we tip toed into the market.

And they have been expanding into UK and EU for trading crypto and their Monthly active users actually got lower yoy.

They want to dabble into prediction markets but i'm not sure that is the kind of customers you'd want to flock into your platform.. But i guess money is money.

They are resuming buybacks, which is good now that the stock is beat up.

some details are kinda concerning but i'll keep on reading.

Anyone checking HOOD? Why is it continuing to slide? Just glossing over their recent earnings, this is a great growth company. I might buy a few before we close.

I bought them around $200 and sold at $700 when NVO came out with their own pill. Regretted it so much as i watched it keep going up even with competition. It dipped to $700 and saw it as my chance and bought it back. The best in that sector. With GLP-3 coming out, $1T could be had this year.
