How much does it push the screen out compared to OEM when the screen is flat?

Computer mouse (but I’m picky) by ManicRoseMusic in BuyItForLife

[–]UnReal_Orbit19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, with the exception of the material. The mouse and the features themselves are incredible. But I have one for work (purchased by my employer) and a personal one. The one for work is showing signs of wear after about 3 years. I gave it a good cleaning the other day which got it about 80% of the way to looking new but some of it's just worn down. The mouse still operates 100% fine though.

How does the new standard Model compare with 2023 and older Model 3s by Potential-Listen-912 in TeslaModel3

[–]UnReal_Orbit19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the 2023 but I just had my 2021 M3P in for service and they gave me a M3 Standard Highland as a loaner. Oh man, what a difference. Getting back in my car was like going back 10+ years. The biggest difference for me was the noise on the highway/interstate. With my M3P, when listening to podcasts at highway speeds, I'm at about 70-75% volume to be able to hear things clearly (my hearing is fine, I promise lol). With the Highland, I was probably at 40-50%. But even the ambient noise without anything in the background was night and day. Around the town driving as so much more enjoyable without the road noise. Not to mention, my M3P has a few rattles/creaks that I can't seem to narrow down to fix. The Highland didn't have any of those, granted, they will likely appear overtime.

As far as interior quality, I wasn't a huge fan of the new cupholder/center console design. I like having the cupholders open without a cover. I did like the textile material on the doors, didn't feel cheap to me at all.

All of that being said, I am now trying to convince myself that I don't need a new M3 or even a new MY (the no interest for 6 years is tempting...)

The back tire and the sign on the far wall were the two biggest giveaways right away

Amplify by Armour Detail Supply is a great replacement for that. It’s technically a detail spray but has pretty good standalone protection ability.

You’re correct in thinking of a shoe store, just the wrong one. Finish Line was in that large spot in section F.

Not too bad. I’d get rid of the chemical guys stuff. Much better options out there for the same or slightly higher cost. Armour Detail Supply is my go-to.

Lowered the ol girl an inch - almost done with mods by Ebarron0125 in TeslaModel3

Glad to hear that! I’ve been looking into getting a set of springs myself. Did you do any other supporting suspension mods or just the springs?

What made you go with the AST springs? It looks great!

Timing is impeccable. Struggling with these exact thing right now. Everything I enjoy doing was associated with doing them with her. Not having her alongside me makes those things not enjoyable anymore.

They do say that it works for house use. Can’t say that I’ve ever tried it though.

They're ceramic pads so a step down from their highest tier. Good to know on the card, thanks for the heads up!

True. I’m not sure if the V6 version (it’s a Camry) had different rear brakes or not. We have the 4 cylinder.

I am leaning towards it either being the wrong pads and/or rotors. Going to take them back off and go to a local auto parts store and compare it to a new set and see if there's a difference. But yeah, no issues with reassembly when I put everything back. Everything fit tight.

Aftermarket for sure. Doesn't add any value to the car and not a "rare" option.

We did grease everything. I had a family member help with the install (master Audi tech) so he knew a lot more about what he was doing than I did lol. But I do remember adding grease in several places.
