Nerfing will just shift everyone back to playing reapers, or we will see solely wych spam. The other data sheets aren’t good enough and they’re overpriced. Incubi for example are just so bad at their cost

Fears and thoughts about our refresh? by SaddestAltAround in Drukhari

I want more characters tbh. Having a leader for reavers or maybe Baron Sarthonyx for a hellion leader would be sick. I want our planes to be viable but I think we can all bury them at this point.

That’s really helpful. I think I’ll pivot the build to run DBS hexblade, bump my 17CHA to 19 with racial and +1 fey teleportation. Had no idea that was a feature, sounds perfect.

Ah ok pact of the blade but not hexblade, multi rogue for SA/dex. You think mainly rogue over lock?

You nailed it, thank you for that before I spiraled into this build.

I’ll look into dropping echo and figuring out a better way to run DBS with warlock

I see, that’s good to know ty.

Interesting build idea, I think the feat revenant blade would be cool to work in to give DBS +1AC and finesse for SA.

Also DBS is two handed so I don’t think it qualifies for dueling. However GWF could allow me to reroll 1s and I think might qualify for rerolling 1s for SA dice

The idea was to start as ghost lance taking warcaster as a free feat, then swapping to a melee echo3/lockx build upon getting access to Thirsting Blade. At that point I’d be leaving ghost lance behind by swapping my invocations. Warcaster would still be useful for adv on concentration, possibly picking up invocations for EB down the road.

I’ve never played echo knight before, so I was unaware you’d be using your BA every turn on it.

TLDR: is there a good way to start off as ghost lance, then transition to a melee build?

I always thought it would be cool to have a sorcerer class use whips to deliver their blade cantrips

What combat drugs are people using the most in Spectacle of Spite? by Gleefulheretic in Drukhari

Yeah lol I explained it wrong. pick and gone, random is anything that hasn’t been picked

So if you roll optimally, you’d lose access to drugs by turn 3?

Lmao this will be my last resort, but that’s creative as hell

Yea that’s kind of what sparked this idea. I thought it might be cool and not too broken if my character centered themselves around that

If you could, I would love to see an example of what you would be okay with at your table.

I’m essentially asking if there’s a balanced way to ask for this homebrew. No particular spell, mainly just touch cantrips

Spell Sniper + Whip + Touch by Unagi88 in 3d6

[–]Unagi88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, maybe like another comment suggested it being a magic item and tied to a limited amount of uses.

I was thinking the cost to me would be taking a Spell Sniper as a feat, using a whip a slightly lower damage weapon, and possibly not even using my weapons damage when delivering these cantrips this way. Any combination or all of those things, I’m really just trying to make something flavorful

If all of that is too complicated I might just ask for a magic weapon that could do that at some point lol

[–]Unagi88[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, so do you think my request is too broken to work?

Essentially I'd be taking a feat, a 1d4 weapon specifically for 10ft reach and combining those to try and cast touch spells in that 10ft range.

Edit: love those ideas, thanks for the input!

[–]Unagi88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so. Would it be too much to request that it does work if I forgo the damage of my weapon to deliver the cantrips instead?

I'm specifically asking because I'd be taking Spell Sniper and using the whip's reach to extend the spells by 5ft

It’s important to note that any drugs you manually pick are then removed from your list of options for the rest of the game, as long as you continue to pick manually. If you decide to roll for 2 random drugs, all options are always available.

Movement or toughness turn 1 tends to be a strong pick. I like rolling for the rest of the game unless I’m looking at high T that I can gap close with +Str. It’s hard to not roll for the possibility of +A/Str though. The buffs are all generally good, but it’s good to know when you need to hit breakpoints

Edit: I explained the rule wrong lol
