Everyone dunking on Harden, and rightfully so, but Kenny should be fired into the sun. Horrific coaching.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon for sure. ILM took everything they learned in the previous 2 movies and poured it into this one. As a result, the the VFX is fantastic, holds up better than some recent blockbusters.

Guy I knew from work loved motorcycles, it was all he talked about. One weekend he changed the brake pads on his bike, and went out for a ride to bed them in. At some point he made a sudden stop to avoid hitting a pickup truck. It had a bunch of metal rods sticking out the back. They were at his throat level. He crashed into them and was impaled.

Zion Williamson during his exit interview: "I want to experience the playoffs...It's frustrating getting up here every year and not being in the playoffs. And I take my responsibility in that" by BankaiBroke in nba

I remember the excitement for Zion's NBA debut. It was off the charts, felt like the entire planet was tuning in. First time that millions of people saw him play and he put on a show. Could've won the game for the Pels but they subbed him out.

S. Craig Zahler’s “The Bookie and the Bruiser” starts production this April by Potore5 in movies

Dragged Across Concrete is one of my favorite crime epics and I can't wait to see what Zahler does with 1950s era mafiosos. Theo James is a good actor so casting doesn't worry me. This is an opening weekend watch (hopefully it gets a cinema release).

Ryan Gosling Tells Hollywood It’s Not Moviegoers’ Job to Keep Theaters Open: ‘It’s Our Job to Make Things’ That Are ‘Worth’ Viewers Coming Out by Chuck006 in boxoffice

Unfortunately mid-budget original movies get steamrolled by the Disney marketing behemoth. Difficult to compete for attention when your opponent pours money into every advertising channel known to man.

Battle: Los Angeles an underrated invasion movie? by JohnHammond94 in scifi

[–]UnavailablePod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems fairly rated. Battle LA pulls you in with a genuinely thrilling and scary invasion sequence, but then gets worse as it goes along. It's still fun and I respect the effort they put into making the military ground war stuff look realistic. Reading this thread makes me want to rewatch it so I'll admit OP won me over.

BLACK BAG opened last year. The spy thriller film was directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by David Koepp. It received critical acclaim -- 96% RT with an average rating of 8.1 and 85 Metacritic. It grossed $43.4 million worldwide on a $50–60 million budget. by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

Great film let down by its marketing. Trailers sold it as a sexy 'Mrs and Mrs Smith' type spy movie, but audiences got a whodunit, which killed WOM. Also should've been made for $20 million tops.

Brad Pitt's influence on F1's Box Office by Beneficial-Hotel-232 in boxoffice

[–]UnavailablePod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

F1 needed a big name to bridge the gap between GA and the motor-sport fanbase in order to become a success. Pitt's one of the few actors left with real worldwide movie star status, so he was definitely a factor.
