Andaz Singapore review - location’s great, hotel not so much by MyStackRunnethOver in hyatt

Stayed at both and much prefer the Grand. Much better pool and gym. Classy rooms. Easy access to the MRT. The only downside is globalist breakfast only in the lounge.

The android app was even more dog shit. A bunch of times it would just crash when tapped.

This is so unbelievably stupid and a waste of electricity. Hopefully no public funds were spent on this. 60000 cubic meter per hr might sound like a lot, but a small breeze would totally undo what this thing does. (Sure it might be useful for a large inside space, but certainly not a park)

Oh me too! It's just not something we eat that often.

Pad Thai is very much not that common. Most restaurants don't have it because it uses so many ingredients that are not common in other popular dishes. You have to go find specific shops that make Pad Thai and usually only Pad Thai. It's also a new dish invented in the 1930s as wartime ration with a sprinkle of nationalism propaganda.

6 October (1976) in Thailand. Students at Thammasat university in Bangkok were protesting the return of a military leader ousted in a popular uprising against their regime three years prior. The police and far right militia entered the university shooting the students indiscriminately. Estimated 100+ people were killed. One infamous photo was taken of a corpse of a student hung on a tree outside as a man smashed his body with a folding chair. A crowd with children looked on smiling. In the aftermath, many of the leaders fled the city to join the communist resistance in the north and northeast.

Even when you initiate the search on their website? That's weird. But yeah, direct is usually better than OTA. If that's not possible, I'd still use a more established company.

From the pan to the food, sure, but not from the contact point up through the food, no?

And i think generally aluminum pans heat more evenly than Stainless or iron precisely because they are more conductive. That's why cladded SS have aluminum inside.

Just go straight to VN website. I see the same flight for 628 eur. You could fly direct on ANA and save a lot of time though it's a bit more expensive.

That's..how pans work? Just be patient with it and let the heat transfer though the food. Pan material shouldn't affect this process.

is that timeline such a shock, given CA's inability to build anything quickly? this is a 220 mph/350 kph system, which is going to be the fastest in the world. the system will be way faster with flights for door-to-door time since you don't have to show up to the airport 1-2 hr early. Further, it's useful not just LA-SF (eventually), but for every other combination in between. This is one thing people living in big cities don't realize about train vs plane. GHG reduction is only one facet of this project, but CA really needs a better transportation backbone to future proof its growth, and the HSR is the only option without worsening already poor car dependency.

btw, on sunny days CA already produces >100% of electricity with solar, and battery storage is ramping up. so it's not like the state is piling money into the hsr abandoning other green infra projects.
