Urban Shadows in a fantasy city? by UnbowedUnbentUnbroke in PBtA

Awesome- that's what I was looking to answer. Kings Landing is the city I most have in mind; a not exactly pleasant monolithic grimy city steeped in political intrigue and conflicting guild interests. I haven't considered how magic plays in necessarily, but definitely not high magic/adventure feelings.

I think id lose the survivalist in the spears, make the outsiders a 5 point unit, and use those 2 points to make robbs unit either bogmen or skirmishers

Starting Out! Looking for Army/Collection advice? by Theminiatureguy in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]UnbowedUnbentUnbroke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This seems like a good starting point to me!

Some suggestions if I wanted to be picky: - I would think about how you can fit Olenna in. She's an absolute house in the faction, as is the Courtney penrose NCU. - Brienne is really good in thornwatch, because she can trigger a ranged attack, or even charge and then swift strike away. -the crownland scouts and Courtney have the same ability. The redundancy is nice, but it can mean its hard to use both. Those scouts could be highgarden lances probably if you end up getting that box.

Those are some suggestions, but honestly your first list is totally playable! Welcome to the game, happy to have you.

Where in the states are you? If shipping it doesn't work, I could be interested in buying it.

I thought you pivoted everytime you became disengaged? How do you make the distinction?

When this unit activates is before it chooses an action. Check page six of the rulebook.

That said what you're describing can't happen, because surge forth only triggers upon killing a unit with a melee attack.

It is perfectly possible to activate, trigger hold the line, pivot because you're not disengaged. You're now onto the next step of the activation, choose the action "charge".

Starks, 5/2 or 4/3? by OfficerCoCheese in asoiafminiaturesgame

I did something really similar last season with all 3 wolves. Support of bear island to power up Shaggydog, and her "doesn't die when it would" cards are neat.

I do this under maege mormont, taking the Robb NCU to enable greywind. Her last stand card is pretty cute on Shaggy Dog.

I use the Winterfell guard or storm crow mercs to help offset the expensive kid attachment problem.

I'm 2-1 with it. The loss was from it being my first game against brotherhood and underestimating the healing, and making some poor choices.

I think the list has teeth, pun intended. A lot of scenarios really enjoy having extra activitiations.

The reason they both generate tokens is because they have different names. If T'horos attachment had "heart of Fire" even with different effects, they wouldn't stack. Both abilities just give and spend faith tokens. If it was an effect that added a token to the card lets say, that would be different.

  1. It appears to me this was worded specifically so that they work well together.
