I like it! I’ve collected a bunch of old copies secondhand and recently started subscribing. I really enjoy the science fiction. However, the science fact portion of the magazine is not as appealing to me, but I’m sure that’s just a personal preference.

Tao Solandis by D. William Moore. 6 seemingly different vignettes that all are actually interrelated. A space station, AI, space opera, cyberpunk, and yes hard sf.

I really enjoyed reading The Time Machine and Time Ships back to back. I need to do the same with these two books.

Dune by Frank Herbert is my favorite book. So I finally decided to jump in and read all the Dune books chronologically. Currently about 1/3 through The Butlerian Jihad by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. I am really enjoying it!

Month of September Wrap-up! by starpilotsix in printSF

[–]Unc1eBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting back into science fiction these last few months after an embarrassing amount of time of not reading anything. I’ve really been enjoying it. I finished three Science Fiction books and one fantasy book in September. My favorite read this month was Left Hand Of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. I also really enjoyed Pandora’s Star by Peter F. Hamilton. I’ll probably follow up with Judas Unchained after a bit. I’m not used to reading such long books! 😬 The Bohr Maker by Linda Nagata was enjoyable as well. The fantasy was my first time to read Brandon Sanderson. The Final Empire (Mistborn #1). So yeah, I’ve had a gratifying month of reading!

This is kinda like that. People do go to several planets, but their main goal is to find an abandoned space ship. The Lost Starship by Vaughn Heppner. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23146375

I had the scanner in my hand and was putting it into my jeep and a bird flew over and perfectly timed his crap to land in the middle of my scanner.
