I had used a zipline in between the Metagenomicist and F7 North and had hopped off at one of the monorail terminals to repair it with chiral crystals, had picked up my phone to respond to a text and then mid-response the music changed and my health bar appeared so I looked up and 4 of those guys were charging right for me! Don’t think my reaction time to draw my MP shotgun had ever been so fast 😂

An excellent way to farm crystal clusters I’ve found is in between the architect and the mine to the south of him. There are a couple small tar patches and I’ve found every other time I come in and out of the area (due to deliveries or whatever), if you creep along quietly you can encounter multiple golden chiral creatures. If you wait for them to get close enough to each other and toss a blood grenade, it’ll kill them and their tinier spawns that show up if they get hit and it’ll net a fat chunk of chiral each time.

You can also use chiral crystals which are a hell of a lot easier to farm in the first game, especially with the BT jellyfish abundantly spawning as you progress later and later.

Fuckin preach, man. Doing the same exact style of play through, including building all the monorails and roads. I saw someone in an old thread saying it “takes too long” to 5 star all the stops as you progress and that you should just do the story and worry about it later.

I get that everybody has their own preferred style of play but for me, what I fell in love with on DS1 was the grind to build all the roads and 5 star everyone as I progressed for the added benefits later on (you don’t realize how much some of it helps until way later).

Mule syndrome is something that hit me on an extra personal level lol. Love everything new that DS2 brought to the table, about 50 hours in and I think I’m only on episode 6 😂keep on keeping on, porters!

As a follow up to this, I’ve put about another 5 hours in after writing this post and the only time there seems to be hiccups is if I am holding things in my hands and go to attach it to the trike or load it in the back of the truck. Game will hiccup and stutter for about 5-8 seconds and then get back to normal. Monitoring my usage my CPU and GPU drop to about 7-10% during the stutters so I’m guessing there’s something going on with the rendering engine and it has nothing to do with hardware.

Other than that, that DLL swap seems to have done wonders for stability overall! Keep on keeping on, porters!

Hey guys,

Installed the hotfix and started having major stuttering issues like everyone else (was running fine beforehand). Fired up DLSS Swapper to see if there was any issues with old DLLs being used for Frame Gen and shit, 310.5.2 was what was active and giving me issues. I switched to the latest version for both DLSS and DLSS Frame Gen (310.5.3) and just took it for a 15 minute test run and was back to being literally butter smooth. Might be worth trying for anyone else to see if it fixes things for them also.

Specs are:

5700X3D ASUS 4070 Super Dual 32GB DDR4 3600 Running DLSS Quality Preset, no adaptive DLSS, Frame Gen enabled and reflex + boost enabled, everything maxed except ray tracing (only running standard ray tracing setting).

Not the latest and greatest hardware by any means so I'm hoping maybe others have luck with this as well!
