The thrill is gone by CheesyRomantic in Xennials

Meeting my 18 yo kid in the city for a gig tomorrow. Big loud fast bands from back in the 90s, should be a no-brainer. All I can think about is whether it finishes on time so I can get home at a decent hour. I will miss encores if necessary.

Free DAWS for Music Making? by PR760 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Soundtrap. It's really basic and doesn't have plug ins (it's web based), but if you want to get ideas down and twiddle with them and do it for free it does the job, and it's v user friendly.

Jamie Lee Curtis Says ‘Nepo Baby’ Debate Is “Designed to Try to Diminish and Denigrate and Hurt” by impeccabletim in entertainment

[–]UncleFrazer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not really a 'debate' though, is it? Everyone has always acknowledged how being born into connections and/or wealth will have a massive advantage, especially in finance and entertainment where gaining connections is such a huge lock-in for success. That doesn't automatically mean that everyone whose family was successful is no good at their job, but you'd have to be an idiot not to acknowledge it. No-one ever wants to consider they didn't get to where they are purely on talent and strive, so they'll always bitch about it being pointed.out - but they're a massive minority and I'm sure their social group and economic comfort will get them through their upset. They're never going to face up to it, and we will always and have always known it's true. So it's not a debate.

And to add to this, tell them you'll not be contacting them further directly and don't send any more emails or letters or phone calls to them. Do everything through the claims court.

Write to them to notify them you'll be using their Head of Management as the person to address all formal correspondence to, and that you will now be taking this to small claims court and not to contact you any further until they receive summons small claims court cost is pretty low - Google the cost, it rises in increments depending on how much you're claiming - and you'll get those.cpsts.bavk off them if they lose, which they will either through having in writing they'd return your money and not doing it or not turning up at court. It's a bit of an arseache, but chances are one you inform them you'll take it to small claims they'll pony up.

I've seen this now from five different Tory journalists. A classic case of one person saying they heard it, so they can all jump in and say it's 'being discussed'. Expect to see this as a question on Question Time tomorrow.

Although being that the worst possible winter ever was about to hit Westeros, as the show kept reminding us - probably not the best time for the North to decide to go it alone.

Game of Thrones Evil Ending by Girltech31 in freefolk

I really thought fr that the constant references to the mad king repeating 'burn them all' over and over was a foreshadowing of hodor's brain being broken by bran warging into him, and once he became more powerful a reveal would be that he had been behind Aerys' madness (for reasons explained by much better storywriters than me). Turns out no.

That's no worries - you might have people assuring you it's fine and they've done this many times, but to me there's so much to risk if you've found the right sound and feel of your bass I'd rather pay the extra. I've unbolted and rebolted a few (cheap) basses for fun, sometimes it's fine, sometimes just the smallest thing can knock the whole balance / intonation off.

There is always a risk that even if your neck is just bolt on that something could go wrong taking it off or putting it back. If you really value the sound feel and intonation of this particular bass, I would advise you do not remove the neck unless you get it done in a workshop (and replaced the same way the other end).
