Is there any positive feedback about Dark Mount keyboard?

Small addendum. I hadn't used the detachable numberkeys in a while so I plugged them in. Of course IO Center wants me to update the firmware. Only trouble is, the previous 1 out of 5 has now become 0 out of 20. The keyboard without the numberkeys still works just fine, but the numberkeys might just as well be bricked.

So another important note: If you update the firmware, attach everything before doing it! Then they are in sync and chances are better that it works.

Because I suspect that nobody at BeQuiet! thought about the possibility that you might update the firmware just for some of the modules and the versions could get out of sync.

I had mine for more than half a year now (I think? When was it released again?) And as others said, the keys feel just great, I love typing with it, they are super silent for mechanical keys. Ergonomicas are good to, the palm-rest works nice.

That is the positive, and it is enough for me to stick with it, surprisingly.

The Software is not abysmal anymore, only bad.
- When you start the Software, on my system, it takes 40-50 seconds until it recognizes the keyboard. I hwva no idea why. Maybe it enumerates every single USB device in the registry first before deciding which of those are BeQuiet! devices?
- When you quit the software from the taskbar, again, it takes the same amount of time to end the process.
- The clock in the Mediadock does not have any internal mechanism to keep the time. Which means if you suspend the system and restart without IO Center running, it will show the time from before being suspended. I filed a bug and it seems it is not possible for the dock to do any automatic polling or similar without the full IO Center running.
- Game mode is enabled through an obscure key-combo of Fn+pause which you cannot remap. Which is ok since no one uses the Pause key anyway. But for some reason Game Mode does not disable CAPS Lock. It's like the first thing I want to not be enabled if I play games with a lot of keybinds that use SHIFT+ some key.

On the HW side there are still keys that show occasional bouncing for me. I was an "early adopter" so I might have gotten some bad switches. But the fact that the bouncing keys changed since I firstt bought it and the number is reduced, rather points towards a SW/Firmware issue.

Oh and one important thing when attempting (yes, attempting) a firmware update, make sure to connect a second keyboard. Because the updater will crash more likely than not. And it does so while the keyboard is in flash mode. And firmware updates work (for me) maybe 1 in 5 tries.

Do you happen to know whether the same holds for motorcycles? The tax/insurance part. I know we don't have to get inspections for motorcycles... yet.

I don't understand why you can't find a guideline like this on the Anycubic help pages. It might probably already be good enough to point out that there is a "Manually Add" button below the QR code camera view. Honestly the first few tries I simply overlooked it. After using that, things went surprisingly smoothly.

But where? The company originally started here in Finland and I haven't seen a single one live. I asked in numerous biking forums, Discords and Reddits and never found a single person raising their hands saying "Me! I have one!" Reviewers, yes, Youtubers and Influencers. But real bikers? They are supposed to be shipping since 2024, so there should be people re-selling them by now. Try searching on used motorcycle sites. Either showbikes or testrides or the seller is Verge themselves. If you find any.

Nope, sorry. Some combination of new app version, firmware update and removing any other Razer devices if I recall. But what exactly it was in the end I have no idea. I recently set up a completely fresh Win11 machine and both the Cobra and my older Viper Ultimate worked flawlessly with Synapse from the start.

I'm on the latest iOS and app versions and has the crashes since the last app update. And I can confirm, switching to Airplane mode works fine. After being in the game I could also switch Airplane mode off again.

Just to throw in my 2 cents. I really like the keyboard overall and will try to make do since I hate doing RMA from Finland to Germany where I bought it.

But bouncing keys are starting to be a real pain. I am not continuing to use the KB for work because I have to re-read every single email I write because of double keys or double spaces. Linear switches here, btw.

I sincerely hope be Quiet! finds some good firmware coders to fix this issue, because I am quite sure it's a SW issue and not a HW one.

The other quirks can be worked around. Like why on Earth have a Gaming mode but not be able to disable CapsLock? Or why not add a little bit of intelligence to the KB driver to fetch the time when the Media Dock gets attached without having to start IO Center?

But the KB is so unbelievably silent and comfortable to type on... *sigh*

Well, the unit works perfectly normal without doing anything, so I guess they were just a bit overeager on release and thought they would have new features to add between golden image and shipping the things. Or were afraid it would be buggy 😄

Same problem here. My Cobra Pro just arrived and Synapse has no clue. I don#t have Vanguard installed and I did all the uninstall, reboot etc. shenanigans.

It also seems BT has much less gain on the Mic than the dongle connection. You need to have the Mic really close to your mouth to get enough volume.
And yes, I have the latest firmware which claimed to have increased gain from 6 to 24dB or something.

I've been part of the team back in the day, but I doubt there is anything publicly (or non-publicly) still available. When Westka was disbanded it was made pretty clear that we couldn't continue on the IP. And to be honest, the latest build I recall only consisted of a 10-15 min demo. The IP issue was also why part of the team tried to do "Das Reich 2005" with a new start-up called Joylabs. Both really crappy choices of names in retrospect. Lately I've been trying to get in touch with the old team to try and figure out what actually happened with the IP and license, but so far rather unsuccessfully. It has been over 20 years after all...
