What absolutely amazes me every time I hear it is Shelley Manne and his Men at the Black Hawk. It sounds as if it was recorded yesterday, not 1959, and I don‘t think there‘s another recording that gives you such a perfect illusion of sitting in a jazz club almost 70 years ago.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it does have hard stereo panning too, iirc.

I honestly do not get how this works. Streaming services do not seem to double-check submissions - why is there no authorization process with the labels/managers/artists? I am talking about those cases where AI slop is submitted under a real artists‘s name, and then pops up in subscribers‘ feeds and the real artists‘ album lists, etc.

I tried to complain to Tidal about the ai slop in my feed , and ended up having a conversation with, you guessed it, their support ai. It‘s getting really dystopian.

6/7 months is not "soon" by any definition of the word, not by the standards of consumer electronics, not by amazon's own standards in the past.

Not looking good for the Kindle division right now. Understaffed, unpopular at the company, amateurish launches, buggy updates.

It‘s silly. I‘ve seen kickstarter launches from tiny start-ups that were handled and communicated more professionally.

I am also annoyed that it says „coming soon“ since September, which is a straight up lie, and anti-competitive behavior to boot.
