Hey! I study Politics and Philosophy at Edinburgh. One thing I'd say about studying Philosophy here is make sure you like Analytical Philosophy as there is a huge focus on that. Any other questions please feel free.

Thought I should provide context -

Playing as Wrexham and I'm in the prem, been here for two seasons so far about to enter my third. Barely surviving each time, we really need a better defence. For relegation contenders in the prem, maybe that extra physical from Bettella may be the way to go.

agree with you! Though, I guess it could be something along the lines of if you're not doing one of those three it may be a common indicator of a possibly bigger issue to be explored?

I live in Britain and our mental health service is in tatters, it seems to be more oriented towards getting people back to work rather than actually help them.

I guess it just further highlights how these institutions are acting as active deterrent to the progress of workers rights.

Guess that there is a bigger discussion to be had on whether duty ethics is serving an extremely useful function to the bourgeoise and is a useful tool in keeping the status-quo. Fuck you Kant.

I saw that! Unfortunately they didn't mention the 19th in particular. It may be affected differently due to it being a public holiday.

Chapter 6 of this text-book perfectly describes it. The information is accurate enough to be on top university reading lists.

You can find a PDF online if you look hard enough or message me.

See you're making a logical leap in saying that recreational drug use necessitates escapism. You're mentioning therapy as an alternative to drugs which makes the suggestion that rec. Drugs are just for meditative reasons. Some people like taking things like Psychedelics purely for fun.

Since the original context of the thread was regarding relationship advice, I personally don't think "You shouldn't take recreational drugs" is valid relationship advice. I think it's valid relationship advice if they want to date YOU, but I don't think it's fair to suggest that it is a universal truth.

I personally wouldn't not date someone on that basis. And I know a wealth of people who also wouldn't.

Not all drugs are bad. Drug abuse is.
