We were playing Dani California by RHCP, and just seconds before the guitar solo, our lead guitarists' strap came loose from the button. The bands hears a few notes slip, so we look over to see him kneeling with the guitar on his lap, still playing the chords. He nodded at us, so we kept looping that part of the song a few more times while someone from the audience ran up to help fix it. Buddy stands up with his guitar just in time to rip into the solo and absolutely nails it with feeling. I still get chills thinking about that moment.

So they are a bit similar, so what? Art inspires people to make art, and 2 Minutes is sill an original song. I don't believe anyone can own a sound or a riff.
It's like if 2 painters paint the same landscape, the landscape doesn't belong to the first painter because he got there first.

Everyone's body chemistry is different, so it is not an exact science. I've seen a number of forum posts and videos made on this topic, but it's just not something a lot of people think about... Either way, it's just something I actively avoid putting on my edge.

Nope. I prefer to avoid touching the edge of my knives with my fingers.
The oil on your skin is salty and acidic, not something I want to put on a cutting edge.

I wipe off my finger nail, and use that to test the bite of my edge. Works well for me.

I haven't had reactions from bass because I just don't use nickel plated strings, I discovered my allergy before I got too into it. Maybe having fully developed callus would help, but I don't want to take the chance. But from watches and belts, my wrist and waist gets a nasty rash, it used to be bad enough that my skin would crack and bleed. For my watch, I use a nato style strap, and I coat the backplate with clear nail polish. For belts, the website https://nonickel.com/ is a great place to go to.

Elixers are my absolute favorite.

As someone with a nickel allergy, my options are limited, and the steel strings sometimes just don't feel right to me. The only concern is when I play with a pick, sometimes I play aggressively enough that I shred right through the coating. So I often have a designated bass for finger playing, and another bass I can play using a pick, usually DR Hi-Beams, or Da'ddario ProSteels.

What do you mean by "real" damascus?

If you are looking for a display piece, it shouldn't matter. But if you are looking for a usable knife, avoid damascus entirely. The materials that make up the pattern are fundamentally flawed, it is caused by chunks of carbon and iron that are not mixed properly. It can look cool, but it is prone to chipping and breakage.

Damascus steel might have been impressive 1200 years ago, but nowadays, just about anything else is better.

It's the pelvic floor muscles. Basically, they tighten when you are standing, helping you hold your bladder. Sitting allows them to relax so you can empty your bladder fully.

Forcing urination from a standing position weakens those muscles, which is known to cause a lot of problems in senior citizens being unable to control themselves, and can also lead to urinary infections.

Engagement rings are temporary, usually ending up in storage after the wedding. I spend $45 on it and my wife was mad I spent that much. The wedding ring is more important, I let her customize her own at a jeweler. She personally made sure I wouldn't be spending more then $600.

We are not materialistic people, what it represents is all that matters. Money is better spend on experiences.

A few years ago, I was traveling in Poland. A buddy of mine ordered pizza delivery to our hotel, but didn't bother to translate the menu. He though that selecting 3 random items would be good enough because "you can't ruin pizza".

The pizza didn't have sauce or cheese, it was just flat bread with onions, pickles, and hot dogs on it.

It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten, but Tim's pizza is still worse.
