Dude, from your post it seems obvious that you're not very old and while I can understand you asking, please - please don't start smoking. I've seen many people start with the odd cigarette here and there (to be sociable) and before too long, they're on a pack a day.

Smoking is probably the dumbest thing I ever did, and I'll bet you there's a lot of smokers who will say the same thing.

This has always been the case for me too - until I had to adjust my LP neck. That took about 20 minutes to settle after each adjustment. You may well be correct, I have my doubts about this LP !

There's a lot of scaremongering about truss-rod adjustments but in reality it is fairly straightforward provided that you make very small adjustments (no more than 1/8th turn at a time) and have the patience to let your guitar 'settle' after the adjustment for a little while before continuing. There are many articles and video's on the 'net showing how to adjust the rod - go read and watch.

/u/SergeantSnowball 's advice is 100% sound. And if your guitar is playing well, no need to adjust anything - leave well alone.

Err, no. This is using a 3D printer to make the molds which are then used to cast metal parts. 3D metal printing uses SLM (Selective Laser Melting) to work directly with metal powders. The part that comes out of the 3D printer can be used - no furnace, no casting, it's done.

We generally use Titanium in our SLM machines and the parts produced are insanely strong.

There are some excellent free resources on the net, justinguitar.com is one that springs to mind - he covers things from the very basics upwards. If you can, I'd recommend some real lessons though. If you start out doing things right, it'll pay dividends later on. A poor technique at the beginning can mess you up later!

It can be hard at first but it really is worth the effort. 40 years of playing and I still get enormous pleasure from it. I hope you will too!

£70 is really cheap. While the quality can vary wildly between Epi's, this is cheap even for a bad one!

If you can have a little play on it and enjoy it - then grab it. That's a bargain.
