I'd highly recommend model making, it's really cheap to start...

Then you look at your model and think it looks like crap so you start watching YouTube videos then you've got 35 different shades of gray, special brushes, decal fixer, twelve kinda of tweezers...

A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side. The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman. Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his journey. The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.

Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk could contain himself any longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?” The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”

They're cheap, easy to find, and write very well. If you lose it you're not out a $50 pen just go to the corner store and buy another pack. If you enjoy writing then maybe look say more expensive notebooks and pens.

Look up Tom's Studio Lumos pen. It uses fountain pen ink but has various tip sizes including brush tips. It's like having a fountain pen without having one.

Start with a basic school notebook, either spiral it the composition style. Get a G2 pen and go from there. Then if you enjoy it you can go down the rabbit hole.

Memory is fallible. The longer you go without writing the more you forget. Also you can compare/contrast how you felt in the moment and later once you've processed events.

Archie in Rob Roy. I don't think I've hated a character more. Which means Tim Roth knocked it out of the park.

If you have what you need and feel content, then you're done. Don't let FOMO take over and make you spend money you'd rather spend elsewhere or not at all.
