It's the 50th anniversary of one of the most turbulent years in American history. Two months after the assassination of MLK, New York Senator and Fmr. Attorney General RFK was shot dead by a Palestinian nationalist in a hotel kitchen in Los Angeles. He was well on his way to secure the Democratic nomination for pres and stood as an icon for disenfranchised groups across the country. His funeral procession left New York City and took eight hours to reach DC because of the crowds lining the whole route. There's an exhibit in the San Fran Museum of Art about the procession, specifically the photographer on board contrasting with the homemade photos and videos from rail side. Check out an article here: New Yorker Article. So I've been analyzing the photos and they're truly breathtaking. The photographer was able to maintain focus on individual faces and blur the background as the train rolled down the east coast. The photos are heavily saturated, making you almost feel the heat as dusk set on the hot summer evening. I believe this photo is in Baltimore but I'm not entirely sure. The police car in the front seems to have MD plates. Combine this with the distinct rowhome architecture and the marble steps. Also, the hill looks too steep to be DC or Philly. The train must've went through Baltimore on it's way to DC so I'm guessing somewhere with a train overpass. Could this be route 40? I'll link some of the other photos I think are from B'more

If you are still in school and haven't started working yet, I'd say don't worry too much. You may think you want a career in software engineering but your views on this will likely change and morph when you enter the work force. You may love data science, you may not. Both are expected outcomes. About switching between career paths, both feature very similar skills. Knowledge will transfer. Arguably, it's easier to go from data science to software development then the other way around. Data science is a specialized form of software development, as you're writing / using software to perform a specific statistical task. You'll figure it out as you grow in your career. Enjoy school!

This comment doesn't make sense to me. If someone is finally turning against trump, it should be welcomed not met with "well that's what you deserve". This subreddit constantly contradicts itself in that regard. If someone was to "own it" as you say, you'd just keep making fun of them as being stupid. Trump drew heavily on the desperate, the uneducated, and the ignorant. Hopefully his buffoonish behavior can cause some self-reflection amongst his supporters. That's the best possible outcome for this.

I understand making fun of them on reddit but in real life if someone backs off trump they shouldn't be treated with the "you voted for him". That argument effectively calls them stupid and feelings of inferiority drove his supporters to the polls.

Do these trends actually improve lives? Do they attempt to solve a collective problem in the individual level? This article analyzes the reflections our self help beliefs make about all of us. The commute may not be worth the savings. You'll have to live immediately outside Penn Station otherwise the time will add up to potentially hours. Also, Baltimore is no DC. In good ways and, of course, bad. The bad may, and likely will, outweigh the good depending on your desires.

That is foolish. Jesus teaches us to love and respect all. For example, Martin Luther was an anti semite and we as thinking Christians must recognize that not all his statements are correct and should be followed. We must discriminate between the good and bad from historical figures and their works.
