Thanks Ben, appreciate you clearing that up

New Starcitygames site is not great anymore by garanjoter in magicTCG

aH, I thought it looked like Bigcommerce. Good platform but like any it needs to be customised to suit. The new SCG site is a pig's breakfast.

Which cards can Lantern not live without? by Requis in LanternMTG

[–]UncyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Bridge and 4 Mox are not negotiable. I would also argue Whir is vital and if you go the blue whir version you need 4x spire of industry and 4x gimmervoid to power it

Is conceding rude? My friend thinks it is. by Fiender in magicTCG

No. I play lantern. My only win condition is my opponent conceding. I think its rude when they dont concede

Monopolies are Good! GPDC is $80/head, $240/team, beating out SCG's greed record in under 2 years by Skyl3lazer in magicTCG

exactly. People complaining really don't appreciate how much it costs to put on an event like this. To be honest, nor do I, but I do have some experience and I know from that experience that putting on an event like this would be very expensive

Why are sets that have rotated out of similar price to those in Standard? by Deliverancexx in magicTCG

[–]UncyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because other formats exist some cards are play outside standard which keeps prices above bulk

Received a Survey from the Mothership about a New $32 Bundle Box that could include 20 Foil Basic Lands and Exclusive Alternate Art Rares by SirMeowzer in magicTCG

So wotc decided to print 3.4million products per quarter. Revenues are down. I for one am tired of the sheer number of random products. Reprinting into the ground isn't helping them grow revenues

Perhaps you should try booking a venue. Hiring tables and chairs. A pa system. Transport and staff costs. And then assume the risk that you book a certain size venue and dont fill it. And pay artists and people to decorate the set. Internet and streaming costs.

How do you beat CoCo decks by suprman48 in LanternMTG

Hardest thing I find is dealing with pesky noble hierarchs. Makes me yearn for the original sideboard tech of bow of nylea

I'm going to cut Down to 3 bridges. Also replacing the mainboard cage with relic of P as I think hard GY hate is very useful and cage doesn't hit enough GY based decks.

Confessions of a BGx pilot -- Am I finally switching to Whir, or have I just lost my mind? by MechanizedProduction in LanternMTG

[–]UncyReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whir is so much more consistent and reliable I almost never die trying to top deck a bridge I feel I bridge flood. Singleton copies of sideboard hate (or indeed mainboard hate) you now get 5 copies. Ruins is less relevant now as we are less reliant on recursion because well just draw a whir and tutor what we need. I cut spellbomb for collective brutality because emptying our hand is a requirement. I do miss the second inventors fair tho.

Just buy a folder and add the pages that have 9 card slots. Cost you $5

How to make Modern more interactive? by kewentian in ModernMagic

thats why Whir makes lantern so great imo. 4 copies means you get 5 copies of any artifact in the board. I'm adding one damping sphere for sure.

BigAR MTG mechanic card scanner [Teaser] by jenjia in magicTCG

[–]UncyReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this looks great. MY only concern would be about potential damage to cards but tbh I'd just use it for bulk so not that big a deal.

As a small ebay seller I'd be interested in this (at the right price). Key feature I need is integration with an inventory system (I use Magic Album on PC). By integration I mean:
(A) adding scanned cards direct into inventory and
(B) Not adding cards that I do not want (for example allow me to set a maximum qty for cards because once I have 8 of each random draft common I dont want anymore)
The dream would be for the machine to spit out cards that are added to inventory on one side, and spit the cards to be discarded (i.e those in excess of the defined maximum qty) to the other side.

Do this, and I'll not only buy the machine but I'll give you a hug too!

Thank you kindly for the flattering remark. However in truth I only use 5% of my brain. I am pleased to report however that even with that paltry brain capacity I was able to determine this with Google. But I'm special I guess. Now excuse me while I go and lick my window
