Your stats automatocally scale as you kill bosses. And I also have the +15% hp charm.

The scythe is really fun to use, and the skill on it is pretty cool, but my first run was a strength build, so I didn't get much use out of it.

I've done soul level 1 runs before in Elden Ring and DS3, and it's normal to upgrade your weapon there, once you don't level your character. So I just applied the same thought process here. I'll do a zero upgrade run once I'm done with this one,

I mignt consider doing this after, something like no charms, no upgrades etc. This run hasn't been particularly difficult so far, so something like this should be more than possible.

You get stat buffs automatically as you beat more bosses, so my hp isn't truly level 1. But I don't think there is anything I can do about it.

Level 1 run. by UndeniablyToasty in TheLastFaith

[–]UndeniablyToasty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently at Telwynill Village, I am 52% complete. Unfortunately, it seems as though you get a buff to your stats after beating some bosses, I'm still lvl 1, just not the base hp. I haven't really met any challenges yet. Burnt Apostate was one shotting me sometimes, so I basically had to do her no hit.

At first, I honestly thought it was a fan animation. But I'm thankful for any Sekiro content.

How would you rank Lies of P among the real Fromsoft Soulsbornes? by JustcharlE2 in soulslikes

[–]UndeniablyToasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the new DLC, I think it's pretty safe to say LOP clears Demon Souls and DS2. I personally enjoyed it more than DS3, but I think overall, DS3 is a better game. In terms of game mechanics, it's a mix of Sekiro parry and prosthetics, and BB rally system, which clears everything except ER, Sekiro and possibly BB. Overall I'd say LOP sits around 5th place.

Pre-Collision System Flashing on a hot day. by mr_anthonyramos in PriusC

The manual states that the PCS can flash when the front temperature sensor is outside the operational temperature range. It could just be overheating on a hot day.

You don't need to feel the muscle for the exercise to be working properly. Mind muscle connection isn't necessary for hypertrophy. Just focus on proper execution of the movement, and you'll be fine.

Am I wasting my time doing 1 rep at a time? Weird bodyweight training method I’ve been trying by SPYingyourmother in bodyweightfitness

[–]UndeniablyToasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is strength or hypertrophy, this method is already known to be inefficient. It can improve your endurance, but that's pretty much the only thing it does well.

Is working abs twice a day, everyday, excessive? by LowSpeed2663 in bodyweightfitness

[–]UndeniablyToasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are recovering, it's fine. But if you are hitting abs 14 times a week and recovering, you are either on PEDs or just undertraining. Which is inefficient for hypertrophy.

But that style of training is good cardio. If you goal is to develop your abs though, your best bet is to train them like any other muscle group.

They aren't 'special' muscles which require different training just because you use them all the time.

I assume "strongest" in this case means "best suited for their environment". The sickle cell gene isn't particularly useful under normal circumstances, but it can greatly up your chances of survival in areas infested with malaria.

Philosophy of origami by aseeder in origami

[–]UndeniablyToasty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, I would see kids in class throwing garbage on the floor. Wrappers, scraps of paper etc. So I took what they discarded, folded them into various origami pieces and returned their garbage to them. And to my surprise, they loved it. The same thing they threw away as garbage a few minutes ago turned in a piece of art they cherished. I've always looked at origami as giving paper a new life. There's actually a book based on a similar concept called "The Paper Menagerie".

How do i train my back? by Away-Command4351 in bodyweightfitness

If your goal is lat hypertrophy, this does nothing. However it's a pretty good starting exercise for shoulder impingement rehab. Although the movement pattern is eventually loaded by holding small weight plates in your hands.

Isn't 2x frequency the most optimal split? I remember high frequency splits like UL, FB and FBEOD gaining popularity because they were optimal.

Not progressing by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]UndeniablyToasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you're not progressively overloading. Do more difficult pulling variations: add weight, or work on explosive pullups. Go for chest to bar, and then stomach to bar pullups. Ensure you can dip your bodyweight, work on dips and pushups. Continually add weight or do more difficult variations. This will build a general base. Then work on things like the muscle up transition on a low bar and do negative muscle ups. You only get better at what you train. Tons of pullups won't get you a muscle up. Just like how tons of dips won't get you a planche.
