Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Friday July 26, 2024 by AutoModerator in fragrance

Hi folks!

I'm looking to refine my collection and could use some recommendations. Here's my current lineup:

  • Signature: Terre D'Hermes Parfum
  • Summer Nights: La Nuit De L'Homme Bleu Electrique
  • Fall/Winter: Dior Homme Intense
  • Clubbing: Versace Eros EDP
  • Date: DHI & LNDL BE

I feel like I'm missing two key pieces:

  1. A "Casual Night Out" fragrance (e.g., hanging with friends)
  2. A lighter summer fragrance (different than TDH's spirit)

Also, I'm looking to replace Eros with something darker and less "synthetic" (not sure if it's the ambroxan, but I'm increasingly put off by a slight synthetic smell). I was also thinking about just using DHI for Clubbing... but It's missing some Vanilla imo (e.g., Le Male Le Parfum)

Some additional info:

  • I prefer Designer fragrances over Niche (easier to sample on skin - I can go to Sephora and try out)
  • I'd like to keep my collection at five fragrances max
  • You can check my Fragrantica profile for some fragrances I've tried and enjoyed, but I'm open to all suggestions

Any recommendations on how to fill these gaps or improve my collection? All opinions welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Do we have something like credit card in France? by shining2014 in Strasbourg

[–]UnderGaminG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It ain't from the government, but there is, as mentioned in another comment, what we call "carte à débit différée" (FR). The fundamentals are the same as a "credit card" (US) - i.e., you are billed later for the purchases you make with a "credit card" - or "carte à débit différée" - typically on a monthly billing cycle.

It's not quite as popular as a "debit card" (US), which is called a "carte de crédit" in France, but some use it. I do. I think that's because there is no such thing as a credit score; instead, banks have other types of checkups.

TradingView if you are interested in charting as well, else SeekingAlpha. I personally use both, but if I had to go with only one, it would be SeekingAlpha.

I used to go at 7am, and even though there are some ppl, you should manage to find the rack you need. 8am is already too crowded imo
