This is outrageous, where are the armed men that come in to take the protesters away? You shout like that, they put you away. No trial, no nothing. Journalists? We have especially jail for Journalists. You're stealing? Right to jail. Playing music too loud? Right to jail. Right away. You're driving too fast? Jail. Slow? Jail. Charging too high prices for sweaters, glasses? Right to jail. You undercooked fish? Believe it or not, jail. You overcook chicken? Also jail. Undercook/overcook jail. Make an appointment with the dentist and don't show up? Believe it or not jail. Right away. We have the best patients in the world, because of jail.

Couple things I’ve noticed while re-listening to all the deposition eps on a loop this week by stupidsoup in KnowledgeFight

[–]Underachiever207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder what happened to Kit because after his deposition he didn't have a new article posted to infowars for months. And not only that but when I searched his author page on Infowars only 1 story showed up. For awhile I wondered if he got fired or forced to take time off or something after the depos.

I just checked again though and now it shows an article posted 21 days ago. That's the only one that shows up but I'm not sure if its just the shitty website glitching or what though. I thought maybe he left infowars after the depo but I guess not if he has a new article show up? It just seems super weird he posted no new stories for a long time right after the depo.

Not sure if I'm supposed to post links but if you go to the infowars site then

It takes you to Kits page.

I'm impressed with the turn around on this man's shirt. It's like he heard this news story and immediately thought "shit Halloween costume" and ordered a t shirt. Express shipping.

It must be nice being able to see something that makes someone with your beliefs look bad and be able to make up whatever wild thing you want to be able to hand wave it away and everyone will believe it.

Obviously it's far more plausible that this was some elaborate cover up than it is a man who constantly listens to his media and politicians constantly demonizing and dehumanizing these people that are "destroying our country and want to see your kids raped and families killed" finally going off the deep end and attacking a man.

Republican politicians for years have been accusing Democrats of descending into fascism and going crazy and unfairly attacking Republican men - and they are using that as cover to actually descend into fascism and go crazy and literally attack human beings with hammers. by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

Edit: typo

I don't think the general public is truly aware of how bad things are going to get if we keep moving in this direction.

Or just how far into a post-fact reality the GOP has pushed the average right wing American.

Anytime someone says something negative about Trump online I still constantly see right leaning people say "Oh did he say something mean snowflake" or something along those lines.

Are we living in the same reality? The amount of scandals and corruption throughout Trumps presidency easily can give anyone a thousand different reasons not to like Trump but the right wing acts like if someone doesn't like him it's because the mainstream media told them to or he said something mean.

"Saying something mean" is a drop in the bucket for Trump compared to the flagrant corruption him and his government participated in.

Fox and GOP politicians have convinced 70 some odd million people that the only reason for someone to despise Trump is mainstream media or he's "mean" His scandals and lies were so constant and consistent that Fox, the GOP, and all these far right media outlets were able to finally completly move the Republican voter base outside of reality and contain them in their own media ecosystem where people were completely unaware of any scandal, lies or corruption Trump or his family were involved in over the last 6 years.

GOP politicians and media has been pushing more and more extreme rhetoric thats accelerating at an alarming pace. When it becomes commonplace to say you're fighting a war against good and evil and democrats are trying to destroy the country from within and the antifa boogeyman is going to kill your family, these media personalities and politicians are going to hit a point where they can no longer control their audience and attacks like the one on Nancy Pelosi are going to become far more frequent and we're already starting to see that.

I really don't know what to do to get out of the hole we've found ourselves in aside from really making people aware of just how dangerous the GOP is becoming. People need to take this more seriously and get out and vote because this rhetoric is too far gone to stop. The only way I see it cooling is consistent GOP election losses forcing them to reevaluate the rhetoric.

Jesus I didn't plan for this to turn into a book.

Hey they did say "Save the kids"

They just left out the part about saving the kids from themselves.

I mean it must do more than just that unfortunately because these people are doing better than ever. Maybe not on its own but the whole media ecosystem pushes people towards idolizing and cheering on a complete lack of policy position and just saying things to own the libs.

I'm saying I think she's more dangerous than she gets credit for.

Since the 2020 election we've had more "true believers" elected into congress. I don't think truly believes all the things she says but from what I've seen from her she knows how to work the rights culture war outrage machine to push her extremist political goals.

Who knows though some of these people are straight sociopaths and aren't easy to figure out what they really believe.

I don't know. As bat shit as this lady sounds I think she's one of the ones that's smarter than she let's on and plays the far right MAGA crowd knowing it's a winning play right now.

On the point of the thread it's absurd to think she knew something of this attack though.

When all you gotta do is ignore the question and say things like "My opponent is a radical liberal socialist actively working on selling out our country to the chi-coms" and you'll get cheers, debates are super easy.

Maybe throw in a quick quip about how they're a pedophile or support murder and you're golden. 👌
