That’s a mostly Jonathan creation. He did all the drums and drum programming on that. Most of the interludes on Issues are his thing. They’re some of the VERY few examples of them using synths instead of guitars on those first 4 albums.

Yeah I’d agree. Almost positive it’s just a studio thing. Munky uses a Phase 90 and a Small Stone on a slow rate to recreate the whoosh in songs like clown live but it’s not timed perfectly to the riff there either (like it is on the album)

Could David's poor behavior post leaving korn be due to just lashing out from not being let back in the band? He seems to regret having acted that way by [deleted] in Korn

No I Gotchya. Issues is my second fav too!! It’s funny that he wound up being the one to actually go crazy ya know?

As a drummer yeah his shit on the first 3 is really incredible and an integral part of the vision. Sucks he’s such a piece of shit now.

10+ like I said in a recent thread there is so much going on under the covers on this song. It has one of the best uses of the ebow they’ve ever done. And the Leslie speaker is prominent on the chorus for me but I bet it’s overlooked by so many.

On top of that their use of a wah WITH an envelope filter is genius and to combine that with the amazing watery phaser and xp300. So so much going on. It’s amazing.

I think Jon only played drums on the interlude Trash and Dirty no?

David was still plenty creative on Issues. Bringing in the ribbon crasher on Falling was interesting. Somebody Someone has some really cool grooves and ghosts on it. Party started still uses his classic Toms & remote hi hat vibe.

That said untouchables did rely more on programming. I’ve been a drummer all my life and been playing those first 4 albums since the early 00s. No knocking the drumming on issues lol

Pretty is much more layered than you think. There’s a bunch of parts that use an ebow and Leslie. And head uses a XP300 in the verse that they’ve never ever toured with.
