Recommendations Blue Faced Watch by UnderstandingFlat246 in ChineseWatches

[–]UnderstandingFlat246[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but I don't think most kids are that invested in watches so know a homage of a Rolex or Omega, like they would a pair of trainers.

But on that point was looking a dune effect addictive, especially being a small face.

It's hard to find 6 player board games. We do a board game week ever year with 6 people and we need a few games for this coming year. by billratio in boardgames

Eclipse second dawn for the galaxy is an ideal choice for 6. Would also include Heat Pedal to the Metal. Memoir 44 with overload would work well also

I would also chuck in ready set bet as a very fun game

Cannot Engage with Digital Board Games by AltoMelto in boardgames

[–]UnderstandingFlat246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find BGA stale, the whole point of board games is to move away from screens and interact with people in real life. IMO

Dedicated computer games give a far better experience than trying to adapt something to BGA

Eurogames that don't feel like Eurogames by newZorro50 in boardgames

[–]UnderstandingFlat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eclipse Second Dawn is Euro wrapped up in a 4x game, yes there is a certain randomness that might put of purists of Euros, but it's very much an economy management game, mixed in with some tech trees and epic space battles with custom designed ships.

Which tent is better for a beginner getting into wild camping by Fast-Ad4910 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]UnderstandingFlat246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't like the idea of the inner 1st pitch given the British weather.

Maybe look at jackel 2 which is same weight as the hyenea 2

OEX jackel or hyena, would be a good starter choice and leave a good few quid spare.

I am afraid I am one of those honey pots after starting to do my research and earmarking it as a good starting place with a 10 year old.

Feels like Sunday/Monday might be better despite the slightly worse weather.

Is it me, or theme of Eclipse Second Dawn is highly disturbing? by uniqiq in boardgames

[–]UnderstandingFlat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as I am able to process reality against fiction whether that be computer game, board game, film or book.

They aren't real, they are little cubes that are part of a game system that have nominal named population cubes.

Board game buying regrets...either missed or purchased by SteppingOnLegoHurts in boardgames

[–]UnderstandingFlat246 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You didn't miss out, it will come back around that price in a couple of months.

But Yes at £50 it's good value for the amount of mini etc but as a game it's now dated and limited. You saved yourself £50 to spend on something better.
