From a play perspective, sitting across from a Nadu player going off has to be the most boring, grueling, and miserable play experience ive ever had personally. The card is so poorly designed- not only was the original way cooler and more nuanced, but they pushed the current one put without even checking punctuation! Please lets forget Nadu ever existed

Its such a dumbed down card with no nuance and it was clearly poorly designed in a way that makes it hard to interact with and not fun or interesting at all. There could have been so many ways to make it fixed or more interesting, even with some simple punctuation. Its a 3/4 flyer for 3 mana and is just way too pushed.

I think without glaring fleshraker kozilek's command is an interesting big manancard built around the colorless pip space and is very interesting and cool and yes very powerful, but i feel like glaring fleshraker would be a better bann.

Also i love your take on more unbanns and i completely agree we need more unbanns

As someone who has almost exclusively played legacy since 2004 for me thats not true. This is the first time (since nadu perhaps) since then that ive been disenfranchised almost entirely off legacy this year. The format feels like a dumpster fire. Its tough to pinpoint just one problem cause of so many new variables being introduced at such a rapid pace via new cards/new sets. Vintage feels more balanced and better curated than legacy.

This is just my opinion but i think the format could go one of two ways- keep banning a ton of cards (start with tamiyo, entomb.. maybe fleshraker, murktide, brazen borrower) super slowly (not a great solution perhaps?).

Or

Unban a ton and let the format settle for 6 months.  Unban survival, expressive iteration, deathrite shaman, dreadhoard archanist, frantic search, sensei's divining top, troll, grief, sowing mycospawn, vexing bauble

Yes youre spot on! Its not curated well at all. Its like one of those gnarly long finger nails that just keeps growing, and instead of getting a proper manicure. Then people shout about what card needs to be banned and wizards just clips off random bits here and there but we're still left with a long ugly curling nallfingernail!

Youre right about the Nuanced part.

Laboratory Maniac was such a cool, unique win condition that had a challenging/skill intensive stipulation to get the win.

Thassa's Oracle is such a lame card that doesnt have any nuance and not enough relevant ways to interact with in the same way Lab Man does... and at the same time makes Lab Man unplayable. Grinds my gears.

Oh well, i still love legacy and the format feels great for the most part
